I kept waiting to see if Peter would somehow end up attacking Grant or Tania in this place while the hurricane was going on. It always seems to be the person you know the most and least suspect that turns on you, but the chapter didn't end that way.

It was a really good chapter, and my brain kept thinking I'm going to see someone random pop up or something throughout the rest of the chapter after hearing the mom talk.

Many thought that Peter would be the evil one after reading this part, and like them, I'm not going to enlighten you. Lol Thanks so much for this lovely review, David, I really appreciate you reading all these chapters. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra x

A tense situation. A hurricane and the possibility that rapier has found their location.Quite thrilling.
I was down with covid and is now recovering. I thought I would have missed many posts...

Oh, I do hope you are okay now, Sanku, I know the after-affects can be awful and it will take a while to get over. Just take it steady and only do what your body allows. Thank you so much for coming to read this part, my friend, that was so nice of you. Sending you a warm hug. :)) Sandra xxx

I read this in the middle of the night on my mobile a couple of days ago but didn't get around to reviewing it in the morning. Never mind! You've really ratcheted up the drama and the feeling of anticipation of what might be about to happen next. Great chapter! Loved your description of The Shadow, by the way.

Hi Tony, thank you so very much for this lovely review and the six stars, as well! I won't be posting today, at least not the next chapter of Betrayal, I might be able to post Scout and her Unicorn later. We are so busy moving, I've hardly any time to come on here. We're moving nearer the New Forest, so it's not too far from where are at the moment, and we're in the lovely position of being able to take our time moving out. So we're making daily trips to take things over, put them away, and come back and load up more. This way we don't have loads of boxes to get rid of or pay the ridiculous cost of a removal company. I have 2 strong sons, and Graham has 3, so we're fine. After all that, LOL, thank you, my friend, for this wonderful review. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

It is lovely, and now they have a new nature reserve which is just outside our front door. We literally walk across the lane and we're in it. It came about after they'd finished excavating gravel. That was about 15 years ago, and now it's gorgeous. The houses they've built here are in keeping with the area. I'm so excited and can't wait to finally close our new front door, which will be in two weeks time. xx

I think overall its a pretty good chapter, with some nice tense dialogue and a suspenseful scene where they spy on Colin with the remote drone. Alot of the chapter was set in the approaching hurricane, and I think you could have made it a bit stronger by putting in some damage like trees falling down around the house and roofs coming off rather than just describing the rising wind. Just something to add some color and make us more a part of the scene. estory

Thank you so much for your really thoughtful review, Estory. That's a good suggestion, and I'll do that. I've got more about what's happening in the next part, but I agree, I could have done more to add to the excitement of this one. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter, and appreciate you pointing out what you did like as well as where you thought I could improve on it. This is a really excellent review. Thank you! Bless your heart, Linda. I'm sorry it's taken me ages to reply, I'm knee-deep in packing, chucking out stuff, and other bags I'm filling with stuff for the charity shops. They'll love all the bags I'm taking them. Lol.
Now, you going to be cross, methinks, because I'm struggling to get the next part ready to post on Sunday. Every time I sit down to go over it, my darling man calls me to sort out some problem or other. He couldn't live without me, I keep telling him that. He just laughs and says the same back. LOL!
I don't know if the hurricane is with Grant in the Bahamas, but it looks like it went through my rooms first! I had to laugh at you hanging your head, lol, no, he hasn't got a cheap shack, his should be strong enough to withstand a hurricane ... well, a normal one. But this one? Well, what can I say. I'll be watching from my satellite dish, hopefully, I'll get a glimpse of it as it passes over the island. Then I can tell you! LOL

Thank you so very much, my dear friend. You always make me smile. And for that, I am so grateful. I need that at the moment. Well, I have to go back to it. The evening is so much lighter now, it makes me think it's earlier than it really is. Love you so much, my dear friend. Warmest hugs. :)) Sandra xxxx

LMBO....I bet you two are so funny...how
much could you have saved??...LOL...it's just you and Graham...but it truly sounds like your having fun...so carry on sweet girl...look at this like extreme Spring
    cleaning...

not to worry...post it when you can...I know your knee deep into other things...writing and packing is more than enough...and of course all those big meals your cooking every night...peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...with a hot bowl of soup...actually sounds good...hmmmm...

as always your so very welcome...soooooo much love coming your way...xxoo

Oh no, Colin found Tania and the storm might act like an involuntary shield against the spy. Oh, and let's not forget about the baby that's on the wayð?¤

With the threat of Colin and his mother, Tania and Grant sure didn't need the mother of all hurricanes to appear. In the UK the wasp-spy is keeping tabs on what is happening in Colin's area and not liking what they are seeing. Who is the mysterious cousin? Knowing what Colin planned, didn't really help matters. It would only help if they could watch Rapier.

So sorry for taking so long to reply to your fabulous review, Ralf. Moving house is a nightmare!! It looks like we've been through the hurricane, not Grant!! We all want to know who the mysterious cousin is, Grant will be investigating once he has hopefully come through his hurricane. Lol. Thank you, my friend. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

Neither do I! Yikes, I could almost hear the wind roaring around them. Another super chapter that showed the reader both sides of the situation, and managed to crank up the tension considerably. So glad Grant has some medical supplies - if that baby decides to arrive, he'll certainly need them...
No wind here, but lots of showers!

Thank you so much for the lovely six stars, Alexis, and this fabulous review. I'm so sorry I've taken so long to answer, I'm up to my ears in packing!! Having such fun getting ready to move. I'll try to post on Sunday, but not sure it will happen. Whatever, I'll post as soon as I have time to finish writing it. Warm hugs, dear friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Hello Sandra,
So the wasp-spy is air born. Those into video games will like the idea
of controlling the spy from a laptop. I could use a spy like that myself.

And Rapier (Max Cannon) has already given his tail the slip.

Question about these paragraphs:

"Surely he would have found out where they're hiding her by now.'

'Don't be so ridiculous. He only landed a couple of hours ago, and Grant will hardly have advertised his whereabouts."

The next paragraph says: "your cousin, whom, by the way, you can thank for letting us know where Grant flew off to with that little floozie!"

This implies they already know where Tania is, so the mother's comment doesn't seem to make since.

The hurricane is coming, the only question is whether Max is somehow able to get there.
I suspect he will.

Excellent tension and suspense will keep the reader guessing.

Anther excellent chapter.

Best wishes.
Robert

Oh, you're right, I must change that a bit to say that they know Grant is in the Bahamas. But, only a few very close friends know he has bought one of the islands. If it's one of them, well, that would be awful. So we shall see. Thank you for pointing that out, Robert! I owe you!!
Yes, the hurricane is very close. We shall see what happens next very soon.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, my friend, and the six stars. You have been a great help. Warm hugs. Sandra xxx

Two storms are brewing - the hurricane on the island and the one of Rapier approaching. But how did Rapier learn about Grant's private island? I do hope that his flight gets delayed and they can somehow avoid him. Another exciting chapter. I liked your new Shadow character, too.

How Rapier knew where Grant was is a mystery that Grant means to solve. I'm glad you liked Shadow, he really is a nice person, but Rapier is the opposite. Thank you, Helen, for this lovely review, I hope I can get the next part up on Sunday, but we are moving in three weeks and there is so much left for me to do. Why do we collect stuff we know we'll never use again but think we might? LOL.
