Wow! What a presentation this is. Birds are the best when it comes to odd pictures. There are so many formations that can be made when birds are crowded together. They are an art unto themselves.

This is a nicely written haiku for the club entry for group of animals. I didn't know a group of blackbirds was called a cloud. Awesome photo to compliment your words as well. Well done.

-A good image and
presentation, Kahpot.
-I am leaning about
various names for a
group of animals today!
-Good nature and
seasonal imagery.
-You paint a vivid word
picture of the blackbirds
and the "blanketed trees."

Wow! What a picture and he noise must be quite loud too, a blotchy, sooty cloud here and those trees must be wishing for a rest, a fun post, you complimented this scene with your words, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

That was a beautifully written poem. Well thought out. Clearly written. Good visual imagery. Good alliteration with blackbirds-blanketed. Trees can be so nonchalant about everything. Great satori line. Well done. Exceptional :)

Dear kapot, not only is this a wonderful Haku, it has been a real education for me. I have seen flocks of birds before. but never a cloud of black birds that could just completely hide a grove of trees like this.

I am always fascinated when I watch this occurrence. It cloud appears dense, so how do they keep from flying into each other? Just a thought.
You chose the perfect illustration.
What was best was the haiku itself. It paints a very vivid picture in my mind.

Diane,

This is a nice club event Gypsy created. There are many good entries for the same, including yours! I was not familiar with the cloud of blackbirds.

I like your twist for your last line.

My portfolio has a previous post for the collective for rattlesnakes, rhumba!

Love this and the artwork that enhances the haiku. The cloud of birds is hypnotic, so many and so beautiful. This is a great haiku with pure form and organization. You have offered us a real gem here.

This is a great response to the club challenge. We are learning so much about the way groups of animals are labeled -and also the art of haiku. Well done.
