Aww. Great story! Love your stacked 5-7-5's
(Although to my eyes second line/third stanza counts six?....and second line in penultimate stanza counts eight?)

Could be a pronunciation thing...

That aside, great work wrapping lines to continue the flow!

    So packed , they went north ( packed is only one syllable)


    His heart skipped, when Mij s off spring

    ( skipped and Mij s are both one syllable counts)

    In case the second line l I can put

    hearts skipped

    Instead of his heart skipped ..to eliminate one syllable

    ..but it should be okay how it stands now.

    It?s an odd name .. in the film it sounds like he ?s saying Mitch .. this film is based on a true story .. i hope you decide to watch it .. you won?t regret it !

Nice poetry in a difficult format. I like how you moved the story along, each stanza doing its job in that respect. You like Mij, and you feel his loss, only to see the circle of life appear at the end. A couple of notes:
1) London writer on the whim - perhaps "on a whim" is better
2) loss that wretched owner's heart - maybe "wretched" should be "wrenched."

All in all, a good work that tells a story.

I loved the movie. It is a fine story and enjoyable to be taken through it once again in this intriguing format. Procreation has been with us since God told Adam and Eve to "fill the earth". Happily it applies to animals too. How sad we are when we lose a well loved pet. Best wishes
