This is great for the seven deadly sins contest. You captured gluttony as it truly is. You're right though, we are all guilty as sin of that at times. Good luck with the contest. The picture really enhances your poem beautifully.

That picture looks like ones I've seen in Lear poetry books.
I liked your word creation of "gluttonize." I kept wondering how did he have so much money to buy all that food; or so much time to cook it?

Interesting poem on the seven deadly sins dealing with gluttony. I think gluttony is not a vice. It is a medical problem the individual faces. It is some kind of emotional escape. You have created strong imagery with your nicely worded rhyming poem. Good luck!

You may be correct in many cases, but some gluttons eat because the food is there and they can?t resist it. Many thanks for praising my imagery and word choices.

Oh indeed, there are those gorging and disgusting perpetual gluttons,
who seem to never stop eating. We know and see them and shrug
in disbelief, how could a human consume so much, with no beginning
or end, from dawn to dusk. Eventually their health will suffer the abuse
and demise.

Oh indeed, there are those gorging and disgusting perpetual gluttons,
