Wow! That's just amazing, Yvonne. No wonder you are proud of him. Thanks for sharing this inspirational story. Thank you, too, for introducing me to a real tongue-twister of medical terminology, cricothyrotomy! I bet that'd stump all but the finest in a spelling bee contest! LOL

How refreshing to see that someone is being recognized for actual heroic deeds. I'm sick of people like George Floyd being hailed as heroes, as he did nothing heroic. If he made record time in caring for that stroke victim. His quick action may have saved his life. No wonder you're proud of him. My congratulations. Resuscitating a patient can add years to that person's life. I know, because my mother was coded and successfully resuscitated. She lived a few more years to enjoy her family and her grandchildren. judi

Thank you so much. That's good about your mother, too. It's more rare than people realize to get a coded patient back. I will certainly pass this on to Stewart.

Hello Yvonne.

Those are remarkable things he did. I am sure those actions are additions. to his many attributes. Merely holding the position he held is significant. It takes courage to recall these emotional events in writing and I commend you for that.

You and your son both have reason to be proud. Heroic children come from heroic parents. You both deserve medals. America is full of unsung heroes.

What a lovely thing to say. Thank you for that. I admit I had a small part in his training. I was his practice dummy. lol

This is a wonderful story and you should be proud, Yvonne. I think the paramedics deserve all the praise we can muster up
to bestow upon them. He evidently had great training and is sure of himself. God Bless him and all the other first responders who save lives daily including our police forces. Well done Nancy:)

I am delighted to read about this, Yvonne. I am thrilled that Arkansas has such fine medical personnel in the field that will help the patients on site. Please tell him thank you for all of us. I hope he is in the Benton/Bryant area... that is where all of my family live. :). Great write!

He was for a few years. He was director of emergency services in Saline County. He missed being on the streets and went back to that. Thank you so much. I will pass this on to Stewart.
