Another interesting chapter, Beth. You did have your challenges with the different personalities of your daughters. Sounds like Christi hasn't found the right man for her yet. Lenny seems to stabilize Connie, so I'm hoping that works our, but she's young yet, so who knows. Well done.

You are right about the different personalities. I love them all, but some got under my skin a bit worse than others. Thanks so much for the review and comments.

What an eventful year. I now am really curious as to what Connie told that man. I hope Christi stayed safe. And I'm guessing Connie and Lenny met other people in college? You hinted that they didn't get married.

Thank you so much for the review and comments and help with the spags. I meant to say since Connie was eighteen, June would be the last month Social Security would add money for her care.

Your family saga continues and your children have different treats and personalities and the rebellious character of the younger ones it's so funny. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings and the next chapter.

I love this book--keep it coming. I feel I know everyone!

This would be [insert: THE] last money Social Security

With birthday cash and all the money [OMIT COMMA] she collected as graduation gifts [OMIT COMMA] she wasn't doing too bad

Denny seemed proud of the fact [OMIT COMMA] he once burned down a man's barn, because the man had killed his dog.

Someone [OMIT COMMA] left a death threat on her desk, probably as a sick joke.

leasure=>LEISURE time

It seems like it was another eventful chapter in your family's life. Finally, everyone is fully grown up -- yet not without issues to resolve. It's good that you set some guidelines for your kids still living at home. I never heard of gloxinia plants, but I just looked them up, and they're so beautiful. I wonder if they're related to orchids.

It sounds as though Christi was easily frightened -- although sometimes, with good reason. I'm not sure if the three-kitties-in-a-boat guy got a fair shake, but I suppose you may never find out. Family stalker... I'm sorry, but that one made me laugh, just a little. If he was an actual sicko, he wouldn't have disappeared so readily. He probably reached the correct conclusion (with a little help from Christi) that he had worn out his welcome.

Mary Kay again you come to my rescue with your help. My computer went out and I'm trying to use a tiny lap top and I can't half see what I'm doing. The keyboard is so small. I felt bad about the boat guy with kitty updates. He was probably just looking for a family to relate too.

You're very welcome, dear Beth. Actually I do almost all my work on a little cellphone (although I haven't been doing much of my own writing lately; mainly just reviewing on FanStory and sending emails for my church). I have been blessed with an eye for detail and while I have fairly good vision up-close, that's taken a hit in recent years. When I was a kid, I remember threading needles for my Grandma... now I need a funny little device called a needle threader. It came in a sewing kit and I didn't know how to use it, at first, but I googled it, and found out... just to darn a cheap sock. Anyway, I'm happy to help :-)
Yeah, poor boat guy. But you were away, so what could you do? At least he had the three cats to keep him company. May God take care of him, if he's still (hopefully) around.
Love and blessings, Mary Kay xoxo

You did a good job in writing this segment. It flowed nicely and was an easy read. If I may, I noticed a few typos as follows: This would be last money Social Security would add to your check ...
- be the last

By mid-June, Connie and her friends left for their Florida vacation. She called several times and they seemed be having ...
-seemed to be

Lenny is connie boyfriend.  He is a sophmore in college.
- Connie's

Denny is Christi's latest boyfirend.
- boyfriend

I hope this is helpful. Thank you for sharing, and have a great evening. Hugs to you.

You have a full plate with your children, their careers and relationships. The man who adopted the three kittens is a little strange, I wonder how the cats liked living on the boat. Your story continues to be interesting.

I enjoyed this piece. It is folksy and human and I like the way the author "talks" to her deceased husband. I can relate to that, having lost my own life's partner in February of 2019.For sometime after he'd gone, I'd find myself setting the table for two, and other little acts that held him close.
Your family sound as though they are very normal and feet on the ground sort of people.
I can't say that I blame Connie for her actions towards the "Kitty man" I think I'd have done much the same in her shoes. This looks like an
interesting piece to follow. We'll see won't we?
cheers Cass

Thank you Cass, I really appreciate you reading my story. I very much enjoyed reading your comments. It isn't easy getting use to being without our mates. My husband died in 2017 but we had 61 years together.
