This is a beautiful and well written sonnet celebrating the month of June and the ushering in of summer. The imagery is lovely: "soft wind that will caress us with its heat". Really enjoyed it.

This is an excellent sonnet, written with care to be in the vein of a good sonnet. Iambic pentameter and 10 syllables per line with three quatrains and a couplet. Your Volta was spot on.

A truly beautiful sonnet, with many strong and lovely images throughout. It fits the prompt perfectly, even mentioning when summer will begin. I especially loved the closing couplet, because I am SO tired of masks, not just for me, but tired of seeing them on other people. Enough, already! My only concern is that the last line is not in iambic pentameter and while I have no problem at all with a bit of poetic license, I worry that it might hinder someone's vote. If you added one unstressed syllable in front of the word "maskless" you would be fine. Something like "We're" or "All" would work but you will perhaps have a better idea. Anyway, I do love this poem and want it to get a ribbon in the contest. MM

What a beautiful sonnet! Omg! I just love summer! I love the colors as well. It reminds me of lilacs, my favorite flower. We really do create some of the best memories in the summer. Well done!

A good sonnet for the contest and one that celebrates the coming of summer and all the joy it brings. A purist might be looking for a stronger turning point in the third stanza, but your closing couplet packs a punch.
