This is a very interesting poem telling us all about penguins. I think they are a beautiful breed of bird, but they are also pretty comical as well. They always look like they're always smiling. I like to watch them waddling when they walk.

I am glad you enjoyed the read .. yes it s amazing that the male for 4 months lives on the fat it has accumulated in summer ..
...then from April, when he mates, till August he remains in such a rigid unforgiving land to take care of the egg and after it hatches.. that?s true dedication.

I re- read my poem just now and I feel I should have mentioned that the egg for 2 months is balanced on the father s web feet .. next time ( sigh)
