This is another interesting chapter, Beth. It seems that there are often some famous people on the edges of your life, like Annie Denver, almost. I like that you've begun to leave us with a hint of things to come. Well done.

Thank you Judy, I'm glad you like the story. I'm hoping that know one who knows Jimmy reads this. My kids are concerned it would be upset to know some of the true things I told about him.

This is the first I've read of your memories. It was really good. I like how you write as you're telling your husband the story to see if he remembers Jimmy coming to stay. Which by the way Jimmy is quite the character. Sounds like he was a slow learner but in the end, got it together. I think your children will appreciate all of this written down. Best Regards, Sally

Thank you so much Sally. I'm glad you liked this. I hope you stop by again. The story started in 1954 but it is pretty easy to fingure out what is going one.

This chapter was well written with great information, Beth. I enjoyed reading it. The organization is great and the inclusion of the events of the various family members added interest. Yes, it did seem as Jimmy was the major problem in the previous marriages. I'm with your husband about having people come for massages late at night--no way Jose. Your ending is a cliff hanger--what happened? I look forward to reading the next.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

The calm before the storm! You leave us hanging as to what changes are to come--post the next ASAP. Jimmy sounds whacked out--glad you were able to get rid of him. (You left out a wife in the notes!)

Thanks for the review. I thought I mentioned the wives mentioned in the post. I mentiioned four names. There was a Janice and Janet I didn't mention. There were six in all. I don't think he ever told Lynn, his present wife, about all of them. I hope no one who knows them reads this story.

Oh, I get it--you left out the wives you didn't write about--that makes sense!

Out of six. This is a good one. I was thinking about John Denver. I loved his music, but the guy was nuts. Talking about a screwball. With Jimmy, it does take time for some of us to grow up. Don't blame Evan. I would not like strange people coming to my house for massages.
Good one BETH

Thanks for the review. I like John Denver's music but I wondered how you came to the conclusion he was nuts. Jimmy met him and he said he was nuts. I didn't know anything about him except his music.

Doozle-dorft was his real name. German. I have been to Doozledorft. in Germany. He would mistreat his wife and then write a song to try and smooth the issue. He was a wife-beater. "IF I HAD A DAY TO GIVE YOU. I WOULD GIVE YOU A DAY JUST LIKE TODAY. eTC. I LOVED THE SONG?sunshine on my shoulder etc. No doubt Jimmy met him.

Yes, our period of settlement, more or less came when the kids were married and settled, whereas before they were exciting but a little up and down. Marriage bust ups have a habit of screwing people up, but it settles after a while, I rather liked George Bush snr, beautifully written Beth, blessings Roy
Typo : Ross Perot took away some of his (voits) votes?
