I feel I've arrived at the eye of the storm to find serenity under your cerulean sky.
Carried by the ravaging wind, the thirsty land flourishes because of the storms.
Beautiful.

Ciao poet!
I gave you your third vote!
This is a beautiful tribute to the mountains.. I live perched at 700 m on a mount that is twice as high.
The Mount is partially covered with every green pine woods ....the remaining parts are full of chestnut trees which in autumn are so brightly coloured ..
On my way down, I get to enjoy the lake and in the far far distance the snow tipped Alps.
These giants are certainly indomitable, despite having had to with stand the rage of the elements for millenniums.
Keep safe!

I enjoyed reading your descriptive Tanka poem. It held my attention and you used good alliteration of p and s letters and sounds. Your artwork choice compliments your message. You followed the contest rules and I have no suggestions for any changes. Best wishes!

I think your words flowed very well and expressed a message that would be difficult to argue with. The illustration is absolutely gorgeous and relates well to your poem. Good luck in the contest.

Well chosen words here to give this tanka a melody without rhyme, easy flowing words that bring life to a scene of contrasts here, much enjoyed, a fine tanka for the contest and this could be a winner, love Dolly

A most effective tanka. I think the single word pivot line has an added emphasis that acts like percussion in a symphony. Those peaks have withstood everything that nature has thrown at the for many millennia.

Excellent Tanka.
I like the transition line as one word...
"Indomitable"
What really gets me is your opening line...it really states the beauty and survival skills of the mighty mountain. Very beautiful as if the mountain is boast its pride...which it should!
Good luck in the contest with this great entry!

This looks like a perfect Tanka, with a theme that required explicit thought. My favorite visually stimulating passage is "cerulean summer skies." Your artwork pairs well with your poem, even though the words can stand alone. Best wishes in the contest.

The Speaker's awe for these mountain peaks comes through clearly in your Tanka. But MAJESTIC is too often used for describing mountains. What other words come to mind?

This tanka, Indomitable Spirit, looks good and pulls the mountains in to compare to those we know who survive through all of life's travails.
