Good job, my fellow writer! This is witty and fun, and I enjoyed reading it. Your graphic obviously fits very well also! Good luck to you in the contest!

LOL He was a grave robber and now here sits his open grave. It's all dug up. Does kind of make you wonder. What goes around comes around. RIP Billy where ever you are.

Well there's certainly an irony there, isn't there?
Changing tacks a little, I believe comedian and writer Spike Milligan's gravestone epitaph, which he wrote for himself before he died was "I told you I was ill!"
Good luck in the contest.

I still think the best ever of this type of thing was:
'Here lies Colonel John Smith
Accidentally shot by his batman
Well done thou good and faithful servant!'
Yours is great but it relies heavily on the picture for its impact, but I wish you well in the contest.

This is hysterical! Is Billy dead? Is he in jail? Or did someone rob his body.
This piece really makes you think. What happened here?
I enjoyed this a lot and know it is a great entry for the contest.
Wishing you loads of luck,
Marie

Oh very well done!! This really made me laugh, and it certainly meets the requirements of being a witty epitaph! Excellent photo as well. Best wishes for this entry - I'm sure it will be a winner!

Sometimes short and to the point is better! You said it all!

The picture says it all. Both wit and irony. The poem without the picture would fall flat. Nice pairing. Kudos. These quick poems can make one fast on their feet.
Good read. Keep writing.
