I love films but part of the Cannes hype are these actresses walking the red carpet, competing to be the most photographed , loved , desired.

The first three lines deliver three solid blows. Then the rest of the poem explains the context. A very nice way to draw attention. I especially like the line "peacocks on parade".

In our society it s mainly the woman that wants to attract.. be praised for her beauty.
