Another smooth running chapter! Everything is winding down from here. I wonder if there will be any surprises in the last three chapters before I finish things up. No errors that I found in this chapter. I wonder if Rapier will tip off the mother or Colin.

Well, you already know the answers to your questions, so I needn't say anything. Thank you, David, your reviews still bring smiles to my face. :)) Sandra xxx

Sandra:

When people know you have a family member in an expensive rehabilitation center, they might be able to use the loyalty you have for that person over the loyalty you have for your employer. Poor Grace!

That is what people like Marilyn are like, ruthless in order to get what they want. You'll read what Grant discovers in the next part. Thank you, my friend, for reading this part. I do appreciate it a lot. Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

Sandra,

A rather long chapter, but soooo well written and such fun to read. I love the fact that the loose ends are being tied up and that soon that evil mother (who does not deserve to be called by that name) will be exposed for all she really is.) I LOVE IT!

I'm sorry I've been MIA so much lately. My two grands start school (sob!) on August 9th, so we are soaking up every moment and trying to swim as much as possible. And everything else, of course.

Only one small note:
--> and if we were to have him placed in any other London prison, would would soon be passed around.
--> delete one 'would'

Thanks!

I am sooo pleased you came along and read this part, Robyn, I would never have spotted that double 'would'. It's funny, my brain reads what it expects to see most times, and ignores the other bits! Thanks so much for that, and for reading this part. I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was long, I just couldn't find the right part to stop at. Lol.
I've just had my son and his family over for a meal, and both my grandchildren came, Chloe with her lovely fiancee, and young Eric. I love being near my family now we've moved much closer. So I quite understand you wanting to spend as much time as you can with yours. They grow up so fast. Enjoy them while you can! I can see myself as a great grandmother soon. Chloe is studying hard to for her exams in top management accountancy. She's already a qualified accountant, but she wanted to go higher. I'm so proud of her. Thanks again, my dear friend. It was so nice of your to read this part. Warm hugs. :)) Sandra xxx

It's true that money can't buy happiness, but it can buy so many other wonderful things to make life easier while you're not happy - LOL

Grant is nobody's fool, as is obvious from the ending when he decides to check up on the cleaning lady. That was my first thought too; the woman desperately needed the money. I'm also suspicious about why Rapier asked for a different prison.

Waiting for the next installment!

Thank you so much, Ryma, for this lovely review, and the golden sixth star! 😊

No, Grant knows something is up, and will find out. You are the only one out of 31 reviewers who picked up on Rapier asking to go to Manchester. He's not exactly a loving brother sort of man, is he?
Hmm!!! Thank you, my friend!! Warm hugs. Sandra xxx

So Gladys could be a suspect for leaking out the information. What a woman! that Mrs Marylin Harding!
I am glad the mother-son duo would be getting their just desserts. Waiting for the next.

I've just returned to FanStory recently, so this is the first chapter I've read, and it definitely makes me want to go back and read earlier chapters. I look forward to reading how the story got to this point. Great story-line.

Thank you, Shirley, and welcome back! Life continues outside Fanstory and we have to live that as well. Fanstory is a lovely place to share feelings and emotions in poems and stories, and I love it here, but we mustn't neglect our 'real' lives. Thank you for reading this part, and I'd love it if you do manage to find time to read hoe my characters reached this point. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra

Another mystery in the making.....a Gladys who has left her job immediately after being at her employment for years. I hope Gabriel finds out what's going on with her....

This book has had me hooked right from the start, and this chapter is no exception. The fact that Grant's mother is going to be brought down by the very person she employed to kill Tania, is another interesting development. That said, I wonder if there is going to be a twist in the tail regarding Rapier's helpfulness. With the threat of jail in the Bahamas being more onerous than his fear of going to Wandsworth, could it be that you have something else up your sleeve that makes Rapier's assistance more complicated? I can't wait to find out!

Rapier has a plan, doesn't he? It's not in his nature to be cooperative or helpful. I think his cocky grin is because he doesn't think they'll be able to keep him too long. And I can't wait for Grant's mother's arrest!

Lol, Cindy, Rapier might think it, but we'll see. As for Grant's mother, oh dear, that's going to be a fun one! Thank you so much, my friend, for another of your lovely reviews. I've appreciated them all. Warm hugs! Sandra xxx
