A perfect prayer! You affirm your faith that God will keep you whole no matter what the circumstances of life's heavy burdens bring. Congratulations on the win! This must have been a blind contest.

    Thank you so much, Beejay. You are so kind to read and comment on my poetry. I don't know much about the technicalities of writing, but I do write from my heart. I've had many tragedies in my life, and without the Lord by my side, I know I would not have survived.

    It was a blind contest, and I never expect to get very many reviews with that, so it's not your fault that you didn't see it. I reposted it because I happened to feel something special from this poem and wanted more to share it. Thank you...Smiles, Carol

Well, it's very clear why this one took top spot. It's clear, heartfelt, and straight to the point. It shares feelings we've all had and can all relate to. The structure was sound and the rhyme was just right. Congrats!

    I just posted it in the blind and only got two reviews and won the contest... go figure...how does that work? I don't like blind contests...I entered another but that might be my last. It's a waste of time. That's why I reposted this poem after the vote ended.

    Yeah, I always have to struggle to make those decisions. HAHA You have to decide between possibly winning some money - which I always need, or getting reviews. I have one poem I posted toward the beg of the month that I just saw again in my portfolio. It went into a contest and got almost no reviews. But it's one I really liked! --frowny face--

    I wish more people would create open contests. We should start a trend! Thanks -

    Amen! How could they vote on a poem (they had to read it) and not leave a review...Crazy! 61 views and 2 reviews but I won... I won't bother to do it anymore unless it's something I really want to write.

    It had money but not any where near as much as I usually post. But it wasn't one of those 1 point 20 cent ones...Whatever...it's in the past and I've moved on. LOL

"Life weighs heavy; temptations crush and weaken my soul.
Oh Lord, I pray, cleanse me; in your arms, I remain whole."
This is a very sincere prayer, and one I am sure the Lord hears. He has said in His word, "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13.
