This was a verrrry detailed chapter. I am wondering if I missed anything as I had not read this "tome" for a while. I will go back and check. Good hearing from you. No spags.

Making use of a program like Grammarly could guide you to obtain Improvement of the numerous voice and comma errors. Still, it was hard for me to elevate my interest above who cares.

Devastating news. I know you saw it coming--I feel your frustration about Carol caving in--she should take the dick for all he's got! Christi sure is a piece of work. Has she ever been diagnosed with a personality disorder? Brilliant incorporation of horrendous contemporaneous events.

Thank you for the review and comment. We've paid for Christi to see psychiatrists, but she only goes once or twice and is convinced she knows more than they do. She refuses anything they perscribe.

It certainly sounds like it was a terribly tempestuous year for you, but more for your kids, who are still learning about the big nasty world out there, they are learning, as they say,"what doesn't kill us makes us stronger" mmmh, I'm not sure about that one. Beautifully written Beth, blessings Roy

Beth,
your chapter in your book Remembering Yesterday titled
A Year of Discontent. It looks February through April of 1993 was proving to be a rough time, would make me wondering; what is going to happen next that can make life miserable.

I remember that snow storm. We were stationed at Fort Meade, MD. Our last son was born March 17, 1993. It was difficult to get to the hospital because everything was still under snow. LOL I am concerned about Carole. I do hope she got a lawyer.

Thank you Barbara, I appreciate the review and comments. I'm glad some of the things I mention triggers memories for others. One of my children was born when it was snowing in Jackson, Ms. It wasn't the storm of the centure but it was still hard to get around.

Our lives seem to follow similar paths, don't they Beth? Just when you think things might be getting better, the light at the tunnel disappears again. But like we say...we always seem to survive. Thank heavens for God watching over us and leading the way. Thanks for sharing.

Smiles,Carol

Thank you Carol. I appreciate you and your reviews and comments. You have had more tragady to deal with than me, but we both needed the presence of the Lord in our lives to smooth over the rough spots.

I have a friend who pays a lot of money out of her wages to the church, even though she can barely manage on what's left. I'm sorry, but I don't agree with it and I doubt God would, too.
What a year that was! So many tragedies, and it's happening again. I wonder was there ever one year in man's history when there wasn't one war going on? I don't think so. Live goes on in Beth's household, though. Another excellent part to your book, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

I understand this very well. Raising e girls, 3 boys, been there done that all along the same time period. At least I don't remember you spending lots of money trying to keep a kid out of prison. Never say Judges are not for sale.
I think we parents are tried in so many ways that when if we get old, we have much to be thankful for. Good one, Beth.

Thank you so much, Chuck. I know many parents identify with this. No one warned us how expensive our children wouild turn out to be. I wonder now how we survived it. Thanks so much for the six stars.

Wow, Beth, there never seem to be a dull moment in your family. I daresay a lot happened during that year both in your family and elsewhere in the States.
I only found one thing:
This idea didn;t set well with us.= This idea didn't sit well with us.
You know how much I enjoy your story.
As a by de by, I happened to be in my crew hotel in the tower when the bomb went off. We all evacuated. Ulla:)))

Thank you Ulla. Yes there is always something happening and sometimes it is worse than others. I appreciate the review and comments and thanks for noticing the misspelling. How interesting that you were there when the bomb went off. I'm glad you weren't there in 2001 when the towers went down.

So was I, but the shock hit me as hard as anyone else. During 20 years I was in NY at least three times a month.
