This 2-4-6-8 poem, Spring, has the proper formatting (almost) and gives the readers a snapshot of the mountain scene that can be enjoyed in the springtime. Nice.

I don't have a question. Other words for verdant is lush and rich. Should I use one of those?

"How is for a 2468 poem?" This is the question you have before the poem. Edit that out.
You need two syllables to replace 'verdant'. How about
stately and green. Often a forest or trees are described that way.
