We can become embroiled in our sad memories at times if we dwell on the losses. Our many ghosts of the past tend to haunt our present, a poignant write Bill, love Dolly x

I thought your poem good enough to gain more votes. To me it is a poignant comment on how things have changed these days, when we can't go to performances and enjoy things like we used to.

I read this last night (I think) and I didn't get it. I came back to it tonight and now I do. Interesting how that happens. If I have it right, what it says to me is that wonderful memories of the past, if dwelled upon too much, can take over our life and make the present seem dull and irrelevant. It's as if the present becomes the ghost and the past the reality. I probably have it all wrong, but I like the poem.

This is a very thoughtful and well-crafted Naani, and a poem well-suited to our times. I like your use of alliteration too - very effective. Best wishes for your creative and imaginative entry.

"Ghosts of Yesterday", is an extremely well-written and deftly descriptive piece. Penned with craft and skill. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. Good luck with the contest. Please let me know how you get on?

You're very welcome.

Written well to the prompt. Happy ghosts? That's a change from most literature - except possibly children's poetry. I hope our pale, paltry present doesn't dampen their spirits.

There is an eery but sad feel in your naani form. Our ghosts in our life remain with us throughout our lives. Excellent use of words that captured feelings and emotions.

Great use of the Naani style of poem. Each of your four stanzas brings something to the table. You bring forth wistfulness and thoughtfulness in the readers mind. Well written and keep them coming!

I can honestly say that if I sat in a ghostly seat and became pale in the face, you would know from the very start. I don't believe in ghosts but I do believe in spirits.
