Now I feel that I kind of know you guys, your friends and family as well. No need to worry, I will not come calling. I will be happy to enjoy the association from afar. Good story. I like your style of story telling, nice and relaxed. It sort of feels like just sitting down and having a conversation with an old friend.

It seems that your family continued to keep you very busy! Christi, especially, was a "high-maintenance" daughter. And then there was the $200 to repair Connie's car. You guys were very devoted to your family, but I'm sure you did it for as long as you could, just as my mother did. You're a very loving family.

Here are my suggested revisions:

The part about "living like you're already millionaires" made me want to laugh. You're so right! It's a great way to get into debt.

Thank you so much, Mary Kay. I don't know what I would do without you. You are the best. That book about the millionaire idea got Don and Kimberly into more trouble. They took seriously but it sure didn't work for them.

You're very welcome, as always, Beth. I imagine the only one who made money from that guy's book, was the guy who wrote it.
Blessings and love, Mary Kay xoxo

Hi Beth, this is again a very good chapter about the coming and going of your big family. I so enjoy it. I always look out for a new chapter.
I found two small things:
At least, some (of) the guys were keeping our house filled with fresh flowers.
in the process of building [,](.)
Now I wonder what will happen next. Ulla:)))

The storm cellar but I am familiar with. Don learned the back-breaking experience too. My mother law was scared to death of storms. Good one Beth. Your kids certainly kept you and Evan on your toes.

Beth your true story of what happened in the
Summer of 1994. I found very well written of what you and your family did. The story I most enjoyed was reading about your
23rd of June was your 38th wedding anniversary.

Thank you Gert. I'm so glad you continue to enjoy my story. The years flew by too quickly. Although it wasn't all smooth sailing, I was happy with my life and still am.

You say your wrote a journal "for a while" Beth, so that means a lot of this must be from memory. I'm impressed with how much detail you can remember about the lives of your kids. Another interesting chapter.

A few little spags:

"but she (had) never been to Chicago"

"already (a) millionaires,"

"Don and Kimberly had been spending money like they were millionaires ever since they'd been married, and they (were)going deeper and deeper into debt."

"toward life as an(a) responsible adult."

Thank you so much, Judy, for the great review and for telling me about those errors. I do have a good memory but occasionally I get something in the wrong time frame. I think I mentioned Evan building the storm shelter in an earlier chapter.

Yes, it is harder to keep track of the time than the memories, for sure.

There is nothing wrong with this. You did an excellent job.

My first wife passed on just before the Two Towers were destroyed. We were married for 32 great years. My second wife just passed on this Feb 24 after 20 great years of marriage. Both by sickness. My kids want me to get married again because they don't want me to be alone . . .

I still talk to both of them also.

May Our Heavenly Family Bless You and Yours.

Your Friend, Danny

To speak to your dear husband is wonderful. It must make you feel less sad and alone. It is a wonderful idea for other children t have that knowledge of the two of you as a couple. There is something very sweet and special about this!!

Whew! Another busy time. I was worried about that trip that Connie took. It was good that Don was understanding about Connie and her friends invading his home but I'm sure Kimberly wasn't happy.

I liked your calm way of saying that you were "not impressed" with Carol's friend, with Don's get rich scheme, and with Christi's many boyfriends especially Denny.

She told us her group was the worse kids at the camp (worst)

Thank you Helen. As new parents. Evan and I never realized what an impact those four would continue to make on our lives as long as we lived. I'm sure my own parents always remained concerned about me but I didn't feel their constant presence in my life after I moved away. Maybe we didn't raise them to be as independent as we should have.

Your kids were sure active, and lived all over the place, if my son in law's work hadn't taken him interstate I'm sure they would living here nearby. I love your posts, and how your kids were still costing you money heh, the apron strings are very stretchy. Beautifully written Beth. Blessings Roy
