Ciao poet: I checked in the Holy Bible and found that what you said here, is true.
"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that will he also reap." GALATIANS chapter #6 and at verse #7. We, (God's people,) are all strays. See: ROMANS chapter #3 and at verse #23. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." But Jesus died on the cross to feed us life. I thank you for sharing your expression of compassionate wisdom. God bless you, my friend. Cordially: rhonnie69.

Ciao!
Sorry for the late reply.
I am glad you enjoyed the read .. ( smile)
Wish more people would spray their pets to reduce the stray population.
Animals deserve to be respected and cared for.
I just read a guy got 10 years for organising dog fights,
when one of his Pitbulls refused to finish off the other dog , he hung and choked the poor animal with his belt.
Pure evil .
Keep safe!

I am with you sweet girl...I think people who abuse animals should go to prison...or something worse...they have no hearts...I'm an animal lover...and could never hurt any of them...
I had 13 German Shepherds at one time...
my husband and I had one of our own...a male...sable color...
I went to a friends house once and looked out her kitchen window...it was about 100 degrees out...was living Florida then...tied to a clothes line was a white dog...about 3 feet of line...and no water...could hardly move...I told my friend it was awful...I was going to tell whoever it was to get the dog some shade and water...my friend told me the guy was mean...I went over and told him it was to hot out for the dog to be out like that...and he needed far more rope to walk...he said if I didn't like it...take her...she was a white Shepherd...so I walked over...untied her and took her home...now we had two...
one other time I saw something curled in a corner in the rain by a fence...I walked up to the house and told the people...I don't know if you know this...but your dog is cold and in the rain...they said they didn't want him...he was a grey and black Shepherd...so I said I would take him...now I had 3...good thing my husband loved them as well...
well not really thinking about it...I thought I guess...the white one was fixed...10 puppies later...I figured out she wasn't...they were beautiful...and I didn't want to give them up...but that's where my husband put his foot down...I did keep the adult ones...Missy, Charger, and Wolf...Wolf was my first...and he had AKC papers...
I made sure all of them went to loving families...when I started naming them...my husband said...time to go...
and don't worry about being late...I'm getting better at that myself...LOL...
take care ...and God Bless...love you...Linda xxoo

Ciao !
thank you for sharing
Thanks to your loving heart both rescued dogs were saved ..
I don?t understand why people take pets but then don?t care if they roast in the heat or freeze in the rain and cold.
10 puppies.. must have kept you busy for at least 2/3 months minimum ( I figure you started finding happy forever homes after weaning them off mother?s milk and they started eating food).
So now you are left with three beautiful Shepards and your husband.
Saving abused, neglected , stray animals can get out of hand ..
even my father at one stage had to tell my mother
Enough
We were dog folks but when we moved to a new location in the mountains
we ended up with 10 young stray cats over a period of 18 years.
We castrated them and they become house pets ( one was even a newborn from the rubbish bin my mother doing her early morning walk heard it cry )
Nice talking to you
Take care!

what is wrong with people who would put a kitten in a rubbish bin...
I don't know why I insist on spelling Shepard's wrong....but I still have time to learn...LOL...
I love cats...but as I got older in life my allergies went crazy...over board...I can be around dogs...but cats tear me up...sneezing...
-
clicked the wrong button...
anyway...we had a white cat that had kittens in a hole in our couch my mother made smoking...we weren't aloud on the couch for 3 months...until mom was sure all the kittens were out...and then they got a new one...LOL...my mother let each one of us have one pet of choice...their were six of us kids...
we had four dogs...mostly dads...white cat and kittens...moms...we had fish, blue birds, a turtle...and a white rabbits...
finally dad said...yes...ENOUGH...LOL...but we still manage to save a stray once in awhile...
like you...I don't understand why people get animals they don't want...and kids shouldn't be allowed to have pets until they understand their a life time reasonability...until they pass...their not a toy you play with for awhile...and then discard...
I used to love watching my adult dogs take off running into the yard...and ten puppies chasing behind them...I let them go after 2/3 months...heart broke...this was years ago...my last was my Dalmatian...(Domino)...
he passed at 14...and that was 1 years ago...now I spend my time driving from state to state taking care of family and friends...
and visiting them as well...I'll get a dog when I ready to settle down...but I am lucky...everyone in my family have pets...and I get called to go pet sit...1200 miles...LOL...but I get to see the family as well...
it was wonderful talking to you too...God Bless...be safe...and take care...love you...Linda xxoo

You certainly had lots of pets.. I agree , kids can be with pets but they should not be left alone with them to play .. they are too small to understand that pulling a tail or poking an eye can hurt and stress an animal.
A puppy can lash out instinctively because he was hurt.
I don?t think parents should buy a pet because a kid wants one either.. pets need to be feed, cared for , it s a responsibility.
My last pet died a month after my father passed away sept 2017.. for the last 3 years I have been dog sit for my cousin who has a Dalmatian too ..Moby .. very sweet dog. Luckily she lives close by.
Shame your family/ relatives /friends live so far away.
I think soon I want a furry baby of my own again.
Take care !

I like writing about animals and their plight .. no need to review .. ( wink)

Thank you for reviewing my wee poem.
Yes I definitely believe in Karma .. we are responsible of our own action .. and we will receive accordingly:
good deeds brings us in return good karma
Bad deeds , bad karma
We should use our free will wisely .
Keep safe !

Those homeless, helpless dogs were certainly lucky and happy that day, Mystery Author. Great job with your contest entry. I agree with your well thought out words. Helping others, critters included, does make one feel satisfied and needed.
Best wishes in the contest.

We think alike!
If we all tried to help someone ( including animals) in need, this world would be a happier place.

This is an awesome, short poem! The six words you put into this really struck me. I think this relates well to my favorite quote:
"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." - Aesop.
Best of luck!

I definitely prefer your favourite quote over:
No good deed goes unpunished.
I think we should always reach out and try to help despite at times our good intentions could somehow backfire.
Thank you for taking time to review my wee entry! Glad it put a smile on your face !
Keep safe!
