This is a well rhymed and smoothly metered poem about how sometimes we question on whether God hears us. We have to look to see if maybe He answered our prayers in a different way than we expected. Faith does provide peace and hope.
Congrats on placing third in the contest.

Hi dear Duchess, as always, I like a lot what you write today, and it leads me to my own thoughts. I like the theme of prayers because I pray a lot, when I am in pain, often, these days...so pray a lot...with no answer, it seems. I keep on praying nevertheless...

A beautifully written poem for the No Rules Poetry writing prompt.
God knows our needs before we ask, yet still, we must go before Him and pray for others and let our requests make known. I always end my prayers, let it be done according to His will. Often when we pray, we expect an immediate answer. When God answers our prayers, He is always right on time.
This beautiful poem has a powerful message, with excellent rhyming throughout with a very smooth flow. Thanks for sharing a most enjoyable read; the very best to you in the contest.

God's heart can gather prayers by the billion and more. I have been blessed to know Him as He lifted me from the hell of domestic violence and a household of drug addicts and set me safety and freedom. Oh, dear one he hears me and he hears you - so keep praying, honey!!

I do believe that God answers prayers, certainly - but in His own time, of course, and not ours. I heard a lesson about a person who had every prayer answered. He finished every prayer with the words, "but most of all, Thy will be done, not mine:. So this guy knew that every prayer was answered - isn't that cool? *smile*
BTW, you and I were on the same wave length in writing. On Saturday, I posted a post called 'Five Special Gifts' about the things we can see, but know. Great minds!

Although God is a spirit that we cannot see he is always there for you and me .On
Bended knee, He hears our prayers as we speak.Miracles happen in mysterious ways, Although we may not understand at the time. We never walk alone is always By our side listening to us as we speak.
