You're right, it is just a piece of paper, and doesn't mean a jot compared to the words said between you over the previous twinty years. How's the back doing, my friend? I can relate to that type of pain and it's definitely not any fun.
Thanks for reading about "our day". I was happy for so many reasons but especially for make moments my mom, Mike and I will never forget.

Bravo! What a beautiful, spectacular wedding story. You have narrated it with such personal flair, and such obvious love for your husband, that it touches my heart and brings a smile to my face. I'm sure it warmed the heart of everyone in attendance, and it's sweet that you also gave your mother her dying wish --although it would have been much better if she wasn't dying, and if you hadn't had to endure so many losses in your family. That had to be so painful.

It's a true story and unfortunately we only had two years before my husband passed, but the memories will always live on.

Thanks, Jen... Unfortunately my husband and I only shared two years before he passed away and my mom lived 6 months. But the memories are priceless.
