I love this parady a Christmas song poem. That is a humorous photo too. Way to write the poem. I enjoyed seeing the rhyming in the poem too. Good luck in the contest.

This is an adorable parody of Jingle Bells! Rhyming sequences are great and chorus perfect. I do have two tiny tweaking suggestions to make the rhythm flow perfectly for the song...
1. In 2nd stanza, 1st line, add additional syllable (suggestion to):
"Transmission, it is shot"
2. In 3rd & 6th stanzas, 4th line, eliminate add'l syllable by removing
the word "the" and changing creditor to creditors (suggestion to):
"Creditors on line"
This is such a fun re-write - Love it! Wishing you lots of luck in the contest!

Sounds like a Christmas of many bills after going shopping...we have heard this sing-song many times...you spent too much today. Jingle Bells is a song of joyful and glad tidings. I enjoyed your creative lyrics.

This has a gallows humor and depicts the juxtaposition of life by the song you chose. The song is usually thought to be a joyous song with cheerful images. This tricks the reader when is morphs into a cautionary tale of woe. Sadly, many readers will be able to identify. This becomes a universal song. Well done

This is well done! It is a great parody of Christmas, and it fits well and appropriately with the tune of Jingle Bells. It is also humorous and realistic. with clever wit. Best wishes for your entry.

Lol! I enjoyed the humor as well as the way you kept the meter of the song in your parody! And yes, somehow Christmas has become less of a spiritual holiday and more of a spending one. Best wishes in the contest!

This is a humorous and catchy song, I can imagine many singing come next January. I tried to come up with something, but couldn't seem to pull anything appropriate out of my head this time. Well done. Good luck in the contest.

This is hilarious and so true! Christmas being on of my favorite holidays and knowing what it's like to be broke. But spending money isn't what it's about it's about family

Just great and too true!! It is the part of Christmas I loathe, though now I am too poor to worry about such things. You kept the rhythm and rhyme up there and gave us a great parody!

Ha this is a great satire on Christmas. I know it's a much harder time of the year for some people than for others, and you expressed that well here. Thanks for sharing this and have a great day
