Dear Mystery Poet,
Well, fiddle. I thought I had the winner picked out! hahahaha As I read down through the entries in the booth, I always have to keep one in mind that seems to be the top - otherwise, I forget them. Trucking along down the list, I had found one that I THOUGHT would be hard to beat. Silly me. You made mincemeat out of it. (shhhh... You don't have to announce that to anyone, right?)
This whole presentation shows that you know what it takes to make people sit up and take notice. I mean - that image. Right? It had me sitting up straight immediately and saying... okkkaaaayyy... What does THIS person have to say? Can they follow THAT up with an equally well-done poem? And I found out pretty quickly the answer was a resounding YEP!
The background color set a great tone for the piece and all your syllables were just right alllll the way down.
Top all that with the message of the poem -- Your use of internal (and external) rhyming, alliteration, assonance, and more - demonstrated a lot of your talent. And the fact that your poem was able to FLOW so easily all the way through was topping on the cake. I will be surprised if this poem doesn't take the top spot.
I've still got a couple poems to go - but I feel certain you'll end up with my vote. *smile* Go get 'em!

This is a great little ditty of a etheree poem with a Halloween theme. Would be a good entry for a halloween contest. The picture used is

I love scary stories and movies, sometimes poems too. Excellent entry for the Etheree Poem writing prompt contest. It's an interesting poetic form, I may try it. Good syllables count and connection between lines, as far as I can tell. Good luck in the contest.

This is a spooky little poem and that picture is very creepy. It is a great Halloween poem. I can imagine it on the front of an invitation to a Halloween party! I'm not sure I'd want to attend, though!
