Great job! You ask the question that we're all asking. I swear it looks like we are in it for the long haul. How we long for yesterday when taking a breath we didn't have to worry if we could end up with an illness that kills!. Good luck with the contest.

Thanks Patty for your kind review. Yesterday seems so long ago I almost think it was a dream. Then sometimes I think that this is just a nightmare and I am going to wake up! Go figure, it has effected us all. Cheers

I know and if it isn't bad enough with all the restrictions of COVID, the rest of our freedoms are being taken away one by one. It breaks my heart to watch our country as we know it, slipping further away every day. Pretty soon we may be a third-world country.

All our thoughts are centred around Covid since March 2020. It is hard to imagine a positive start to our days. But, don't worry, We are about to vanquish this pandemic once and for all. This boost our attitude towards improvising our day through work and life. I enjoyed your poem. A difficult one to pen. Good luck!

All our thoughts are centred around Covid since March 2020. It is hard to imagine a positive start to our days. But, don't worry, We are about to vanquish this pandemic once and for all. The answer to your question, unfortunately, maybe no. We are never sure with each new thing that occurs if we will need to rewrite the acceptable rules of living. Remember in horse and buggy days the ladies walked on the inside so as not to be splashed by buggies. Now the best idea is for ladies to walk near the street to get protection from muggers.
As to the writing. The poem flows well. The language is acceptable to the piece. The images are clear. The poem stays on point.
Suggestion:
Review lines 8 & 9 by my syllable count their position should be swapped.

Thanks for your feedback. I made a correction before I posted but did not change here, thought I would remember. You are correct in that line 8 and 9 both had 8 syllables. In Australia we call them shopping centers, so I have made the change and it is now correct. Thanks for drawing that to my attention. Cheers
