I like your point about the PHONES. Amazing. In the métro (our subway in Montréal) on the sidewalk. at the wheel of their car, they are all on their phone. Like zombies. It used to be that if an older person walked in the métro, a younger person would get up to offer his or her seat. Nowadays, headphones and eyes on their phone they are no longer part of this world. or you walk by a restaurant and you see through the window a couple at a table, and each is engrossed on their phone....

Excellent. If your goal was to get the reader thinking then you did it. I agree with you on the cell phone issue. Everyone wanders around with their nose stuck in their cell phones. I have been run over in stores because people are looking at their phones instead of where they are going. A strange world today. Nicely done.
