Wow, this couldn't explain it more point blank. I was telling someone the other day about how younger life was all about romance and hot, passionate sex. These older days, I'm inclined to think that romance is more about giggles and a hug. Holding hands and a walk on the beach. And not so much the anticipation of what's to come next. Psych! LOL. It's better than losing your lover to death as I recently did. You can see how they fight with life's challenges and all the mistakes they made. None of that is available to me. death is so final. i talk to mountains to communicate with him knowing all the while he can't possibly hear me but I persist e very morning on my walk with my little dogs.
