Love this 5-7-5 ! It speaks universally to parental loss of focus and thought - poignant - reminds me of my mum and her inability to remember my name. Thank you

This 5-7-5, Stargazing with Dad, has the proper formatting and gives the readers a glimpse into the frustrations of witnessing the slow digression of a loved one from this terminal illness. Sad.

This is a cute entry for the contest. It is amazing to see someone rattle statistics off rapidly but when they go to call their kids they have to go through the name of every kid before they reach the right one. Good luck with the contest~

A well written poem satisfying the requirements of the form. How very sad to hear your father has Alzheimers. It's a terrible affliction. Thank you for sharing and good luck in the competition Franky

Early onset Alzheimer's is very sad, especially if the person has a young family. It is difficult for children to understand and cope with the complexities of this disease. Best wishes for your entry.

How poignant and hits home with many. If you or your parent lives to like 80, the possibilities are there for altziemers. So sad the loss that everyone suffers. Makes you think WHY???

Beautiful poem and stunningly gorgeous formatting. I am likely to get hit by this thing. Fortunately it leaves music pretty much intact. Is your dad still around? Thank you for the read.

There is a medication available to slow down the process of the Alzheimer's disease. It is a progressive neurologic disorder that causes the brain to shrink (atrophy) and brain cells to die. Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia.

Hello author, good 5-7-5 format illustrating a warm memory with your dad, and then having a sad, but real-life ending.
Of note:
but forgot my name
(reality of aging)
Well chosen artwork choice. Well done. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

Your dad remembered your name, previously. What he is sharing with you about the constellations , is what he remembers now. You and your dad are both doing the best you can, and that's all there is. Best wishes.
