This is a very interesting concept. However, it is a sad truth that real history is actually being rewritten these days. It shows up in school textbooks and indoctrinates millions of school kids to hate America. One wonders when Thanksgiving is going to be abolished. Sigh. Best wishes in the contest!

This does sound like fun, and should bring up an enormous range of interesting topics. Hopefully not war, as we have probably had more than enough war poems for the time being - maybe that could be excluded.

History is a wonderful topic; it covers a range of many countries. There are several events that take place during the year in many countries. We don't always hear about some of the events but thank goodness for the browser.

this is an excellent idea for an original contest. Your entry spells out clearly word count needed and three important details. Adding the bit about 'fictionalizing' to a points adds to the interest.

This is a very clever idea for this contest, good luck. I think there could be a lot of entries. There are some very good writers here who could provide some interesting work. But why more than 350 words? If it is good enough with fewer word count wouldn't that be, okay? Great Idea!

This is different for sure...what an idea...If this is serious I am sure many will enter their offerings. But I think it is an entry for a FS contest and a clever one that catches the eye and tweaks the imagination. It is most certainly unique and a good entry...best of luck to you!
