The author's words have a great message! I found these words to be
strong, clever, interesting and creative. I like the way the author used
the word failure and then gives a positive statement. Changing how we see things can make a big difference! The artwork is great and compliments this poem.

No failure in this write! Very clever thing with the dice. We must let ourselves do the best we can and leave that failure word on the woodpile. I see you won this contest...good on you, I am proud of you!! But best of all you gave a good lesson and lots to think about!!

I love your poem and your perspective on life. What may seem like a failure to some is a success to others. I especially like the verse:
"Failure to have a home like in the magazines?
Maybe successful in having a simple home filled with love!"

Wow, this poem packs a punch! For me personally, there may be too many questions and that made me not be able to read through the poem smoothly. I would suggest rephrasing just some of the questions so they are statements. I had to stop and consider the questions. Having said that, I still liked this for its message. The last stanza is key! Good job on giving great advice in the end. I do think this will do well in the contest. Good luck!
Know what, after taking another look...You could leave the questions in, but let each question, paired with an answer, stand alone. Put spaces between the question and answer sets. I think that will read more like an enthusiastic speech as you itemize, in a way, all the doubts we have.

Tina, thank you so much for such a thoughtful review! In fact I started it out with gaps between each question and answer, and then wondered if people would see it as too long. After reading your review, I think I will put the spaces back in. Many thanks for your time, and suggestion.

Of course no man (or woman or indeed child) is naturally a loser, we judge on peripheral success, giftedness, fame, fortune, good looks etc. but that's no way to value anyone, that's earthly, sensual judgement. As intrinsic worth and value belongs to all, not just some, but all. Beautifully written, well done, blessings Roy
