I though about your post, and what hot me was, "this doesn't sound like Laura" and I was right, "viva la Bible thumper" eighth booster, heh heh indeed. Thanks for writing this, I'm wondering why this vaccine is so different to others that people refuse it, I know all the arguments, but only God knows really, it's Him I trust, receiving it or not. Beautifully written Laura, merry Christmas blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy, it was meant to make people think. Revelation 13 is on the horizon. This vaccine is different because it does not obliterate the disease like say smallpox vaccine. Also, the mRNA delivery system is not like the old systems it is sketchy at best. This vaccine has not been in long enough trials to be deemed safe. I believe it is a prerequisite to the mark of the beast. The vaccine passports are just the beginning. Just don't take a chip in your hand or forehead and read revelations 13 God Bless you, Merry Christmas.

I think there are many signs, but not this one Laura, nothing in scripture, we will know when the beast is in charge, and we won?t be able to eat unless we?ve got it, scripture should always be the mark not rumour,

Yes Dear Roy I just try to make people think and this is not the mark of the beast but there is a system in place that can pull it all together so we watch and pray.

Laura (?),

This is spectacular. They are already chipping in one of the Scandinavian countries. I'll bet that free toaster is made in China! Those slaves do such good work with all our rusted out recycled steel.

It's hard to tell whether the globalists are trying to fulfill prophesy to instill more fear or whether it really is unrolling before us.

I guess they don't know who wins in the end.

Thanks Sue, some people can't understand my satire but I am so glad you get it, Laura.

I'm tossing around an upcoming speech by new President Harris, but I haven't pulled it all together in my head.

This is a brilliant piece of satire! The perspective of an individual who trusts in modern medical science being satirised is a clever reversal of roles with science and religion in society.

Here, the narrator blindly trusts in a higher power (the government), and believes in "science" (in quotations) as though it's some distant, mysterious, otherworldly force that can't be understood. Obviously, in the real world, this is describing religion: a higher power that must be blindly obeyed despite overwhelming evidence contradicting its existence, and trust in "mysterious ways" that can never be measured or observed.

The offer of a free toaster for loyalty is hilarious! A clever, subtle comparison to the reward scheme offered to modern religions: "follow my law and you shall be rewarded!"

The chip in the head idea also made me chuckle, as though that would give the government any more information than they already have. Corporations like google already know absolutely everything about anyone with a phone in their pocket. We're already chipped, in essence. You've done a good job capturing the hysteria of conspiracy theorists who worry about governmental control.

Very funny, and a nice little jab at religious extremists cleverly portrayed through satirised role reversal. Well written.

Thank you for your review and interesting comments, The jab was for was meant quite as you took it. Have you read revelations 13?
reply by R R McIntyre on 22-Dec-2021
Hah, yes I know the jab was directed at people who place their trust in science, but I think there's an interesting parallel. In essence, everybody is misguided, right? It doesn't matter whether you trust the scientific method, or a book that's thousands of years old, has been translated and rewritten dozens of times to be more palatable to the masses. It's okay to poke fun at everybody, for we're all just putting our faith in something and crossing our fingers that it works out.

I love it! A very creative entry for this contest, good luck. I was laughing in the first paragraph and by the time I finished I was thinking "Okay, maybe not that far out there." Really good job, and Merry Christmas.

Well, here is a Bible Thumper who hopes your choice works for you, LOL
I just wish they would quit with the outlandish names and just say Covid, 1 -2-3 etc then when we run out of binary numbers we could name them after flowers...and so on ad nauseum... You have written a really good entry for the contest...good luck - maybe it will be a new car next...

It sounds like you classified yourself as a good citizen. If we abide the law, we are good citizens. I like science also, and math was a favorite subject of mine, which the scientists use every day.
