This poem starts stateing my wish and ends with the Truth. But my wish is more to ride on any winged mythological being. Pegasus, a dragon, a unicorn, or a gryphon.

I was enjoying the foolish and absurd actually, lol. There is some truth, though, in the last lines. Very creative and reminds me of a young person who is searching for many years then finds out she didn't need to go too far to find the prize.

Your poem, To Ride a Unicorn, sounds so inspiring upfront that I wasn't prepared for the beautiful scene to be exposed as being absurd. To better prepare the reader perhaps you could add another verse upfront that suggests or hints of your stance from the beginning so some readers might not feel like they're dancing in the clouds then plummet from a dream. It is a beautiful poem that makes complete sense to me as long as I can trust the opening impression. But if that advice doesn't sit well with you, I understand. This is strictly my opinion. Love the picture and the perfect color scheme to highlight it and your well thought out words, Yvonne. Your poem is well written. There's good smooth flow with great end rhymes. Your words create great imagery. I could see the unicorn with you aboard flying through the universe for enjoyment and hoping to find answers to many questions. However as you said at the end, all one needs to know is God has the answers--everything else is just man's whims. Thanks for sharing this on Christmas Day--perfect timing to show God's love.

Oh, sweet lady, this is superb! You come up with things that make us think and fill our hearts with joy and hope. To ride a unicorn is but a dream...but Jesus Christ is real and He will give us everything we need. I am living proof of that!

Boy, you really had me with the Unicorn ride, damommy. Then your last line was in awe. It is true that we all wish to ride a Unicorn or do something outrageous but then we remember that everything we need to know is in God's Holy Word. Very well done and greatly enjoyed.
