Fifteen stars for the image. I am trying to figure out how some of the works on the site are rated like at 11 or higher. I would be very curious to hear how you did this. It appears to be advanced work, considering the contortions of the face worked into the fruit, more than simple layering going on here. Most impressive. I am not very skilled with photoshop and have been using free tools like Pixlr even though I have the expensive tools. This is a symptom of being a millennial. Probably I will send up spending a large number of hours trying to figure out how to have a gorilla chasing a banana across the screen every time someone visits my profile.

Oh, and your poem is great. I don't think I have seen this form before and I ought to try one too, but I really need to work on job applications!

Hey, Harambe, hello. Finally, someone appreciates the work I put into a pic. Lol. That doesn't happen too often on here. Crap, some of these people don't even appreciate great writing, let alone what's on the picture. Haha

Thank you for the big sixer, friend. I must be missing it but I'm not sure what you're making reference to with the rating of 11 or higher. I don't pay attention to stuff like that on here. I just do my own thing because I have fun doing it. I don't care about their ratings or where I stand in them. Many people do though. As long as you post 2 times a day and get good ratings, do that all year long, and weeeeee you're one of the top ranked writers even though what you writing blows.

Here's what happened with this piece. I have a free art program I like to play with. GIMP. It's free if interested. I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do and I thought about the pics I see with faces on fruit and figured I'd give it a try. After I finished it I wanted to show it off so I came up with this dumb idea for the contest. Lol.

I don't know how to make things run across the page but I can mix different picture pretty well. Yes, this is all layers. First the layer of the apricot. Then I searched for the perfect face I wanted on it. I made 3 layers of the guys face. One for each eye and one for the mouth. Cut each one of those pieces out by erasing everything but the eye or mouth, made those the right shade, size and color. (the lips weren't red enough for my liking) and moved each layer to where they looked good on the fruit. Once I had them in place all the rest of it is pretty well just using another layer beneath those layers and playing with the airbrush tool. Merge the 3 face layers and add airbrushing to that where needed to make it blend into the pic. Oh, and the 'smudge' tool too, very important. Just keep tweaking it until it's what I want and whala. Plus, there is such a thing as too much added stuff. Don't do that. It just musters up the pic.

And there you go, that's how I do most of my stuff. It's all just shading and highlights.

Oh, and I don't really like this form. I think it's dumb. I just wanted to use my picture and this was the only contest it would fit. Lol.
