I feel bad giving a four star. Overall it was great. My dad grew up in a similar time, so I know what you mean. The first sentence mentions watching TV twice. You truly did a great job, and are a better writer than most people. When you said "like I said" were you referring to a previous piece that you wrote. Just wondering. I encourage you to keep on writing. It is like a diamond that needs a little polishing.

Thanks for sharing you story; I can relate to almost everything you said, the only difference is I grew up in Florida. I think you will get more reviews if you make some edits, grammar, punctuation and caps. It's your story and these are just suggestions, I found your story interesting because I can relate to it.
