Entrancing! Your rapid disposal of the sale details moved the story forward. The house sounds beautiful, I hope you add more details about it in the future, floors, windows, etc.
Liked the addition of Bessie (Great name choice, fits her exactly!), and the way her actions added to the mystery.
Must be the same ghost at the house who teased Margot in her flat, and the name 'Meg' deepened the plot.
Just one more!

I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. Bessie and the ghost are not the same, but she is involved. This story takes several twists and turns, as you'll see if you continue to read it. Thanks again, Irish. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

This is an eerie story of a haunted house whose past owner might be using Margo as revenge for being spurned by Meg in a past life. This may be a story of reincarnation.

Thank you so much for reading chapter 2, Joan. No, this is a love story, a sad one that Margot will have to put right. How? We wait and see. Thanks, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra. xxx

Bessie isn't an ordinary housekeeper, that's for sure! I also feel like having a ghost tell you you'll be together forever is never a good sign, and running away would be the best option. Oh, I can only imagine what she's in for.

No, she isn't, Bessie is so far an anigma and we won't discover what or who she is until the end. :)) Thank you, my friend, for this lovely review, I really appreciate you doing this. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Oh my gosh, this is getting a little scary...it sounds like something is going to happen to Margot. Who is this invisible character that is living in her house? Onto the next chapter.

Sandra,

Wowzer! I just like it. Yup.

I like it a LOT. This is one of the bestest beginnings that I have read in a long time. I could tell you all the stuff I like about it - but we'd be here a while. I like. it. all. hahahaha

You are doing a fabulous job. Showing, showing, showing and not telling. The character is someone I would definitely like - so far. *smile*

I think you're doing a 100% remarkable job and I am hooked so far. Thanks!!

Wow, Robyn, that is such a fabulous review, you've made my head swell!!!! Thank you so very much! What I like most about your review is where you've said I showed and not told. That is something I try so hard to do, so that was very encouraging. The sixth star is a lovely bonus on top!! You have certainly set my day up nicely, thank you, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

Hello Sandra.
This is a suspenseful being to the story, likely to hook the reader,
and that's exactly what you want.
It seems Margot is a bit impulsive. Perhaps she's didn't think about WHY
the price of the house was so low. Ghosts, maybe benevolent, maybe not.
Though Bessie seems very nice, twinkle and all. Good ghost, bad ghost.
That was two quick sales.
I don't like any statement from a ghost saying: "soon we'll be together...
forever." Not when you stop and think where a ghost resides.
Thanks for all the extra money, most kind of you.
and you made Earl match you generosity. LOL
Well done.
Best wishes.
Robert

You're so right, Robert, it does look like Margot is impulsive, but is she really? Hmm, lots happening in this story. :)) I'm not sure where this story came from, but I know where it's going! LOL. Thank you so much for your lovely review, and for the sixth star, that is so nice of you. Oh, and you are most welcome to the extra money, I'm going to double check everything I do in future. I'm still flummoxed how it was possible to do that, because really, it's not! Have a nice day my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

I wish I could give you a ten star for this chapter, Sandra but alas, a six is the best I can do. The pace, the quality of writing, and the intriguing plot, has me anxious to read on. Superb!

Hi Sandra, just like a man...so romantic at first...hugs...kisses...touchy/feely...and after he has you where he wants you...their true demeaner comes to light...
always wanting to be the one in control...

now that he got Margot to move in...enlightened her on what he has in mind for their future plans...she might want to curve her sexual desires...and keep her eyes open...at least until the honeymoon...and who knows where that will take place...

their children will look like Casper...or have fanged teeth...

and Bessie is a little out there herself...as though the welcome mat was waiting for Margot to step inside...

so lets see if her suiter is a Dr,Jekyll or Mr.Hyde...

another awesome chapter my amazing friend...has no problem holding the readers attention...you just want more...
very well written you...bring it on...sending tons of love ice skating your way...everything here is ice...and it's 1 degree here...buuurrrrr....love you sweet girl...Linda xxoo

LOL! Yes, men do like to take control, but we'll see what's in store for Margot as she learns more about what the draw is between her and the house. Yes, Bessie is a main character. I'm not saying anything more.... The scene is set and the story is about to start!

It's wet and cold here, the type of weather you just don't want to go out in. I am going to the gym this morning for physio on my legs. They are worrying me a bit, so I rang Rachell, she's the medical member of the gym, and she'll sort me out. I've decided I'm too young to be wheelchair bound and want to do a marathon when I'm 80! How are you and all your health problems? I hope you are thinking about yourself now, and getting ready to join me on the marathon????? Lol. Seriously, I hope you are getting to all your appointments now.

Love you lots, dear lady, you are always in my thoughts. Sending a big warm hug to get you throught that chilly weather. :)) Sandra xxx

I had a feeling Bessie was going to be a big part of the story...and you know she knows about the romantic mystery man...

I would love to join you for a marathon...
I'll be the one riding on my scooter right next to you...life is good...

and yea...I making my appointments...did the all time lovely Mammogram...thumbs you...all is well...on the 24th I have the dermatologist...

and also I saw the eye doctor...
was disappointed with her...my eye doctor packed up and left the blue state...moved to red...the doctor I saw in her place was young and thinks she knows all...and I don't like that...she was upset because the doctor I had before set a date for me to come back in...I had to cancel because I was in Florida with my mom...and my doctor had no problem with that...so I'm going to see another one eye doctor...and then I only have two more...

you take care of that back and those legs of yours...you'll need them for running...
hope all my love has arrived...more on the way...love you my amazing friend...Linda xxoo

I'm so pleased you've finally got to see your doctors, and I know what you mean about the young ones thinking they know everything. They should have been taught that most people know their own bodies and know what's right and when something is wrong. I can't have a mammagram any more. I'm too old. They stop doing them here when you've turned 70, probably think we're not worth saving! I'm okay, If I felt a lump, I'd go straight to my doctor and demand a test. He'd sort it. Now get you new eye doctor! All you love arrived, the postman squeezed it all through the letterbox!! Lol. Love you back, and some! xxxxx

As one who just read your story, I'm certainly grateful for all the bumps. I can certainly use the 1.19.

Two things in this story raised red flags that something scary's going to happen later. One is the set of cutlery. Sharp objects in mysterious stories never bode well. The second is the speed and ease with which she sold her old house, bought the new one and settled in. In reality, the procedure would be much more cumbersome. The speed with which this all took place suggests there's a reason she needs to be in the house sooner rather than later. Of course, there's always the elephant in the room - an apparently amorous ghost making moves on her in the bathtub. I'm curious to find out how this all pulls together.

LOL! I know I would have been happy if it was me doing the review.

The sale and move did happen fast, and yes, you're right. All will become clear in a later chapter. :)) I like it that you have made these excellent observations. Now let's find the answers. :)) Thank you so much for this lovely review, my friend. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

I've read enough Stephen King and Dean Koontz to know a red flag when I see one! 😀 I'll definitely wait to find out what happens next.
    Kind regards, Michele

This is another exceptional chapter, Sandra. You have a great knack for building up tension to keep us riveted to the story. The dialogue between Margot and Bessie is priceless. I look forward to finding out more about that sexy ghost. lol
