Hello Roy,
Your faith is on display again, thanks for sharing boldly what you believe and profess. You're right, we need to be on constant guard against the forces of evil as well as the normal every day fallen nature that is still with us. It's awfully easy to let down our guard and let the enemy slip in. Well done my friend.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

Sometimes you get me scratching my head, Roy. I get most of this poem. You have stuck very well to the rondeau form. I'll have to give this a try someday.

Definitely a delightful picture, Roy. I enjoyed your words because the words told the truth and showed your commitment to such. I really enjoyed Hebrews 10:38-39 because it further proclaimed your commitment. Blessings.

That was beautiful. The first two lines really hit me hard. I feel like anyone can relate to your words. Although, I truly believe that building up a wall around yourself is either a weakness itself or a form of protection. Great piece!

I enjoyed reading this poem and the artwork. While station in Germany for a total of 8 years we often visited the Neuschwanstein Castle. The palace was commissioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and in honor of Richard Wagner. King Ludwig was know as the Fairytale King or King Louis II ("Mad King Ludwig"). It is thought that he committed suicide, but it's never been proven.

Yes Barbara we visited all his castles in Bavaria, apparently he nearly broke the state, he was reputed to have been deliberately drowned. Thanks for the great review, blessings Roy

I like this poem very much. We sing a chorus based on a Bible verse: "The Name of the Lord is a strong and mighty tower, the righteous run into it and are safe. So glad that the Name of Jesus is our fortress, our shelter from evil and harm.

Beautiful picture! It is perfect with your post. I love the message in this one. The first paragraph is very impressive. Simply superb!
I build a fortress for my mind,
lest foes will breach, a weakness find.
They do not know my secret place,
where wisdom builds on freedom's face,
where faith can see, but hearts are blind.

The second paragraph is my favorite!
Great writing my dear friend. I loved this one the most out of all I read this morning.
Always your fan,
Shana :)

Your poem is deeply reverent and expressive, conveying a powerful message about our soul's safety in Jesus and our trust that He'll lead us aright. (You left off line 15.)

This is a biblical principle actually. We are to seize every thought and make it captive to Jesus Christ. I do this as a matter of course. Bad thoughts and meditations can roost and cause us defeat. Splendid offering and a great reminder.

Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs...

Building a fortress again sin is smart thing to do. God himself is a fortress. It the reminds me of the song "A mighty fortress is our God a bulwark never failing."
