I loved this! I find this type of poetry intriguing and would like to my hand at it. I've written some flash fiction so I might be on my way. However, it looks to me like no easy task. This actually gave me a picture in my head other than the one you've provided.

John,
Thanks for your review. I don?t write long poems. Typically I write 5-7-5 Haiku-esque poems. If you want to learn about Haiku, visit the free site at theHaikuFoundation.org web site.
Pleased you liked my ?picture? in words.

The fun and joy of flowers in our world are amazing. Just plant some Zinnias and see who visits. What a wonderfully written poem.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Mike,
Thanks for your kind words. I am a bit ahead of this scene, but the thought warms me.
Best to you and yours too!

You have made excellent use of your fifteen syllables in this delightful, vividly descriptive poem. Yellow tulip and yellow sun's rays--so appealing, especially to those bees.

Janice,
We need those bees. At the moment, they are on winter break. Methinks during these cold months ahead, we look forward to their reemergence.
