Oh my! Those tenants were a nightmare. How great that Don could help with the repairs and be close to your parents at that time! And Don was ahead of the times as kombucha is popular now but I didn't know people were brewing it then. I can't handle the caffeine in it but how cool that it helped Evan. I liked your description of the kombucha alien mushroom! I've seen it and it's spooky! Hope the jury duty wasn't as awful as you are hinting!

Thank you Helen, Those people were a nightmare. You can find the instruction for brewing your own kombucha on the internet but I know you don't them. I don't know how much I'll share about the jury duty. We'll see.

Another interesting chapter, Beth. You did a great job with everything happening. You chronologically explain them and all of their effects. Those renters needed to be evicted ASAP, but they probably would've burned the house down. That tea sounded gross, but if it helped, then great. I know people swear by mushrooms. The details about the massage business were off-putting. I wouldn't want that happening in my house.
Respectfully, Jan
By March, they were talking of getting married in May. Connie even seemed willing to move [ to move delete this extra ] to Mississippi, in spite of the fact she'd never liked going there with us.

Thank you Jan. I wasn't at all happy that the renters still had months left on their lease, and after that caught up with back rent we didn't evict them, but I was relieved when they eventually left. We had to redo the interior and carpets. The tea looked gross but it tasted pretty good. It didn't do much for my heart but I did finally get on a medication that regulated it.

Hi Beth, I just love following along your family story. Christie is the quiet one, at least at the moment, and now you're called up for jury duty. I can understand your exitement. I followed the OJ Simpson case, because at the the time, I stayed in Barbados for 8 months. Not long after, I started to study for my law degree. Can't wait to reading on. Ulla:)))

Yes, I did get my law degree. I so enjoyed studying it. I have an English law degree as I lived in England at the time. I was 46 at the time and obviously a mature student. I then got a job with Computer Associates, an American IT company where I was a legal advisor in contract law. Very interesting until the the IT world crashed in 1999. After that, my life took a whole different turn. I have written some of my adventurous life. It's all in my portfolio. :))))
