Like your poem. Squirrels are so fun to watch when they jump from tree, run after each other and then climb a tree. If they don't have a tail, I have never thought their balance would be off.

FYI: A squirrel without a tail will not be able to balance as well in the treetops and is at greater risk for a fall. This is especially dangerous as the squirrel won't be able to use his tail to slow the descent. A squirrel without a tail will not be able to use flagging to scare off predators making it more of a target.

Oh no! The poor little guy - it just goes to show how important having a tail is... and your tale in this poem shows skill at incorporating the 3 words into an entertaining read.

Poor little squirrel LoL.

Excellent entry for the 3 Words In A Poem writing prompt contest. Good composition with the required words. Yours is my favorite thus far. Good luck in the contest.

Oh no! Poor Squirrel! How did you find that specific picture? I know the squirrels really depend on their tails so your poem explains it well and you used all three words logically and naturally! Hope you do well in the contest!

Very creative poem for the prompt. I just saw a documentary on squirrels and flying squirrels and it was captivitating. I hope the squirrel was okay, lol. Well done.

Oops, indeed! What a delightful little poem. It creates quite a visual of a squirrel's adventure without a tale. Well done! Good luck with the contest.

Dear Mystery Writer,

Oh, my stars! This poor little squirrel! What on earth happened to his tail? This gives me horrible images of a mean cat or a dog who finally caught up with that rascal. Wow. I know my dogs try awfully hard - this is crazy! Thanks!

Have to say, Miss Robyn, that this is fiction and I looked up the picture on- line. However, I hate to think how he lost his tail. Could'nt have been fun. :)
    Thanks for reading.

This reads a bit like an Aesop tale. I almost wanted a "And the moral is..."

The poem reads well. The rhymes are not forced. The poem stays on point. Language is simple and almost childlike. Elicits a small smile.

Thanks for sharing.
