Hi Sandra, I'm so sorry...don't ask me why...but I lost a week...but of course I think I lost my mind years ago...
way to many things going on...

Bessie is making me crazy...this woman takes for
ever to tell a story...she tell the bunch line...
and than drinks coffee...

OK...Megs father killed himself...and Miles father
made him call off the wedding...but I like this guy
for buying the house for her...and they did start seeing each other again...even though her brother ruined it for
her...

so now if we can get Bessie to stop drinking coffee...
we may learn a bit more...and I think Margot is right...
it does have something to do with her...

I'm going to have to hit and run tonight...I have an eye appt in the morning my amazing friend...and it's getting late...I did go to your profile to see if I missed anything
else...and saw you had a contest poem...children's...
I read it... and voted...and will write the review on
it when I get back from the eye doctor...and will read
the other chapter with Margot...I'm sooooooo sorry I got so far behind sweet girl...been a crazy week...I'm loving your story...but you need to sit down and talk to Bessie...tell her to open up...love you sooooooooooo biggest...Linda xxoo

Aw, Linda, I guessed something was up, and knew you'd come by when you could. It was worth waiting for, because I just love your reviews. I'm afraid Bessie is having a love affair with her coffee, LOL. A bit like Mildred and her cups of tea! Did you see I've written Chapter one for a new This Time ... to see if people wanted Mildred and Veronica back? I had 40 reviews saying Yes! So that will be my next book. LOL. I'll have a short break between the two.
Good luck with your eye appointment! And thank you for the vote! Love you to the venus and back!! Humongous hugs, dear friend, Sandra xxxxxxxxx

I know I didn't ask this time sweet girl...BUTTTTT....you forgot to tell me if Miles is the ghost...I'm
sure it was just an oversite...

and yes I did see it...I reviewed it...I told you when you finished the last book with Mildred and Veronica to make anther book...
they are a good team...maybe you can join...
them...you could all get together...you, Mildred, Veronica, Bessie, Margot...you might be able to dig up Ann...just don't let Bessie lead off the conversation...not even the coffee will keep everyone awake...she has two speeds for talking...slow and slower...otherwise...she seems to like a good person though...

just got home from the eye doctor...she says she wants me to do another kind of Lasor treatment...she doesn't want to give me eye drops with my allergies...so I set it
up for the 17th...I like her...she sent a long time talking allergies with me...that's important for me...

well I'm off two read chapter 6 my amazing writer...and I've seen your short breaks...I sleep less hours at night...just rest those eyes of yours...and watch that back of yours...what's the furthest plant in the galaxy...ok that one...love you that far away...and more...and many hugs back at you...Linda xxoo

Wow, what an intriguing storyline. Your characters are well formed and the dialect is well written and in my opinion adds such dimension to the story. Great job~

Your story is so captivating. How long have you been writing? I love your story and its suspenseful plots. The "Bessie" in your story brings about much information. She sounds like a kind, caring housekeeper.

I've messed around with children's poetry for years, but never wrote prose until I'd been a member on here formfive years. It was a short story that started it, except it turned into a time-travel trilogy. So since I started I've written the trilogy, four novelas with my grandson being the hero, another novel, and this one. And a few other childrens' story books. I have another book planned after this one. I think I've become addicted to writing!! Lol.

Thanks so much, Rosemary, for reading this chapter. I'm so pleased you are still enjoying this story. Warm hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Hello Sandra,
Remembering the things that happened in the first book of This Time - That Time with Sir John, nothing would surprise me in the plot of The Return.
The title itself suggests something or someone is going to do something bad.
You've built up the story and suspense very well.
Margot, unlike Meg, seems to be alone in her confrontation with the malevolent.
If Bessie is a ghost, then I guess ghosts drink coffee without it running out of them. :)
I guess Margot's amorous ghost could be either of two past characters.
Best not to mention them.
I think you've hooked the reader very nicely.
Best wishes.
Robert

I have been so amazed at all the different thoughts from those who are reading my story about where it's going. I could write half a dozen different versions, a saga, even, if I took them up. I hope you'll all like where this will be going when I get to that point, (very soon.) I'm having such fun with it. :))
Thank you so much, Robert, you've put another smile on my face. And a humongous hug for that lovely sixth star! Have a lovely week, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I knew there was something mysterious about Bessie! She sure talks like she knew everyone from a century before! Maybe she's a spirit or angel - at least, someone who wants justice to be done for Mistress Meg, who might be Margot's ancestor and herself in another life?? Intriguing chapter!!
Comments/Questions:
Who was Richard's worst enemy? ("Not only that, it was his worst enemy that had won his fortune. ") I thought their father committed suicide because he was completely bankrupt and so there was no fortune.

Thank you so much, Helen, for this wonderful review. :))
Lord Crawley lost his fortune at the cards table, he was a gambling addict.
The man Lord Crawley lost his fortune to was the person Richard hated, which was even more humiliating for him.
I'll check that part over again to see if I can make it clearer. It might be because I followed Bessie's explanation of why Lord Crawley shot himself with Margot telling Bessie how gambling was one of the biggest causes of gambling addicts going bankrupt.
I hope that clears it up? I will check it out, though. Thanks again, my friend, I'm so pleased you are still enjoying the story. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

That's so sad. I imagine in those days a lot of people killed themselves rather than go to prison. And the son who expected to inherit and ended up with nothing probably lost a few marbles. Sometimes people like that need someone to blame, even if it's unrealistic.

I was surprised at how many actually did commit suicide rather than face the shame of the debtors prison. But it didn't help the poor family they left behind. Richard is the type of brother everyone would prefer not to have. Thank you so much, Cindy. Your reviews are always encouraging. Love and hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xx

Wow, a great continuation chapter, Sandra. Margot finally got the truth out of Bessie. She also was informed that Richard, Meg's brother had something to do with her death. What a shame that Lord Crawley ended his own life, but during the time he definitely would not have survived debtors prison. Very well done, greatly enjoyed. Blessings, hugs n smiles!

The story is gathering momentum as Bessie relates the history of Meg and how she was murdered, the scandal of the gambling in her family, and the broken marriage of the two lovers. Little by little Margot is finding herself in a difficult spot involving murder and intrigue and scandal, and this mysterious Bessie who hints she may be a clairvoyant. The doors are being opened to all kinds of adventure and mystery. estory
