Your account of your jury duty reads well, Beth. All I can say about the times I was called is it's a long drawn out process with long-winded lawyers asking umpteenth bazillion questions. Then out to the lobby while they discuss. I've never been actually picked to serve though. It sounded like the trial you were a juror for was bizarre. You did a great job with the facts, details, and implications. I enjoyed reading this. I remember the OK bombing.

Wow, that is a new experience, it seems that whoever are the selected jurors, it will be a very dangerous place to be, wouldn't that be a risky environment? I have to say that the legal profession are still inhabited by people! But it would make me uncomfortable if in the same room with "judgemental" judges, beautifully written Beth, blessings Roy

Thank you for the review and comments, Roy. I thought I wanted to serve on a jury but never again. It didn't turn out to be a pleasant experience. More about it next time. Do you remember hearing about the Oklahoma courthouse bombing where all those kids were killed and Timothy McVey was considered a domestic terrorist?

No but they closed down my courthouse because of it. It happen while I was on the jury.

The procusecution claimed these students were in a position of being able to swing government contracts in exchange for their degres. ( prosecution & degrees)
The next morning when we came in, there were guards around the courthouse and a camera and scanners had been installed. (The following morning)

I'm so glad I was never called for jury duty, Beth. I think I'd loose my attention after a few days. I'll be interested to see what the outcome was of this trial. It sounds like you were listening intently, wanting to make an informed decision when you voted.
