Yes! You have every chance in the world to walk away with first prize!!! An excellent contribution to the world of tongue-in-cheek happiness, even taking into account of flattening that poor cat.... Good belabored rhymes and good smooth rhythm throughout. Congrats!

Hi Earl, I love humorous poetry and this funny one
hits it out of the ballpark.
The rhyming is exceptional too. I hope you have a splendid week, and may your
pen keep flowing gold.

Well, you certainly wrote of an "interview gone wrong" but more than that it was the dang whole day, wasn't it? Very funny. Where from in Pa.? I was birthed in Manayunk, in Lower NW, a block from the Schuylkill River. Also four years in Levittown, and a short stint at the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

I'm from the western side of the state near the Ohio line. I spent a week at the Naval shipyard in 1990. Thanks for reviewing this poem.

The author's words were certainly funny, descriptive and creative. I thought about what happens sometimes when your stressed! Having
the wrong date for the interview made me laugh! The poem flows and
connects well. The artwork is great and compliments these words.

Not a little fun...a LOT of fun! It really is Murphy's Law in the giant economy size!
I had to chuckle... then outright laugh! Hah!
Imagine all that and oops, the wrong day!
Great title, by the way!

Ha! Oh, I really enjoyed this!! I can totally relate to such a frantic, chaotic day and then having an end result like that. You just have to laugh to keep from crying! Nice work.

This is pretty funny, but wouldn't be if it was happening to me. I've had Murphy's law happen to me and it sucks. A great contest entry, best of luck to you. :)

This is funny. Something like a interview to you all tense and everything goes wrong and all for nothing. Your interview isn't even scheduled for that day. It sounds like some of my days. Disaster comes in clusters.

Excellent entry for the Job Interview Gone Wrong writing prompt contest.

I had this happen to me. LoL. It's not funny when it happens. Once I drove into a ditch. LoL I made it to the interview though.

Well done! Good luck in the contest.

Your poem is telling about an interview where the person is in a rush and everything goes wrong after he/she gets out of bed. You arrive, and then it's the wrong date and time. It sounds so nonfiction, doesn't it?
