The author's words are interesting, descriptive and creative. I liked the
theme of this these words. Last year I had Covid and lost my sense of
smell for a few months - I will never take it for granted again. The poem
flows and connects well. The artwork compliments this poem.

This is the first time I've heard of, or read an Octelle. It's certainly different from anything else I've read. But, I loved it. And it put a huge smile on my face. From now on, I'll be calling my nose, my sniffer! I loved this. Well done. :)) Sandra xx

I had never heard of an Octelle until today. Your Octelle is interesting, certainly has a fun aspect to it and I am thinking it could do well in the contest, good luck. I did have to think about the sniffer "hearing" that which smelled fishy. I was not sure exactly what you meant to convey.

It is a parody of when we hear someone tell a big whopper and in our minds we think something smells fishy about this tale. Smiles abound....

What an interesting topic for a poem. It is perfect for the form that requires a refrain/repetion which enphasises its point. The illustration is also an interesting set of facts.

This made me giggle and has been so cleverly written. Reminded me of a poem from my youth..the rhyme and pace are excellent and is a very good example.of this poetry form.

-I like the artwork, Jim.
-A well written poem with a good topic.
-Effective imagery, rhyme and repeating lines.
-You have very good examples of various
scents that impacted your "sniffer!"
-Good examples are "fishy", "squishy," and "drool".
-Well done.

Great response to the Octelle poetry challenge and at the same time you met the other challenge in the Free Verse club to write about our "sniffer"! It is a blessing to have this sense!!

Good morning (or maybe good evening? I am in Australia). Well you certainly are prolific in your poetry writing which is great for us as readers. Another gem I think. Very amusing and Octelle as well! I love the cliches before the poem. Very accomplished. Did you enter your Valentine poem for the contest?

I've never written this particular style of poetry. It rhymes and flows well. It's lighthearted which is nice. Thanks for sharing. Many blessings to you.
