This is a delightful poem. Children would love it. I really believe a lot of animals of different species do become quite close, This poem could teach children that it is okay to make friends with others that aren't like themselves. Good luck in the contest.

This poem would undoubtedly be enjoyed by children. It's just so cute and wonderful with a little friendship moment/moral at its delightful heart - wish I had a 6 !

Your picture is precious, Mystery Author. I enjoyed reading your contest entry. Your words are smooth as is the flow. The rhymes work well, and the message is clear. This is a great children's poem--one that should be read at the beginning of the school year to all grades.

This is a delightful poem that kids of any age will enjoy. I certainly did. I love it when I see different species making friends. We could learn a lot from animals.

Some of your meter was a little bumpy, but your rhymes were great. Good luck in the contest.

This is an excellent poem for children! The author's words are kind,
sensitive, descriptive and creative. I especially liked the last stanza of this poem. It was a wonderful message for everyone especially children. The artwork is awesome and compliments these words.

What a perfect theme for a children's poem! That two outcasts can become fast friends is a beautiful thing! And how sweet of the bird to care and be the matchmaker! Nicely told rhyming verse! Best wishes in the contest!

This poem, Gerry Giraffe and Ellie Elephant, brings the happy tale of two lonely creatures brought together by a matchmaking feathered friend. Nice.

This is a fun and sweet children's story. Very engaging with a perfect message for children.
One nit - first line - remove one "was".

Your narrative poem for children is skillfully and creatively written, moving, and delightful in its message. Sometimes someone seeks just ONE good friend. It's wonderful when a third party leads two seekers to find each other.
