This is interesting way of personifying Fear. It kind of remind me that old Stephen King novel: Needful things.

The rhyming was good and I like that amount of work and detail you put into creating a complete story in poetic form.

Very inventive writing. At first, I wasn't sure if old Fred was good. Turned out to be a harbinger of evil, which reminded me of the plague overtaking Europe and concerns if this pandemic is real as well.
