I like Miss Maddie a lot. I want to see more of her and her exploits. I would especially like to see what happens if she ever meets up with her brother Boone Tyler. That should ne one heck of a reunion. This is a well written and well told take. I definitely like it want to see more, much more.

There may be a few editing errors but those small things are not important to my rating. I wish I had a six left for you.
You've captured the bold hard hitting style of pioneer days. The gold rush section drew my attention. In my country of birth there are still miners who pan the rivers for gold and diamonds. It's a rough life they have to find off bandits and deal with the dangers of jungle living. But the lure of gold is strong. My late grandfather was such a man. Unfortunately I never met him. I believe he died in the jungle when I was little.

There was a lot happening it this story, starting with Maddie grandparents through to her. It wasn't nice that her father didn't come back for her, I wonder if he's still alive. You have to continue this book, it's such a good story, and we don't have any other western writers on here, at least, not that I know of, since Charles Lucus died. Interesting story kept my attention. Imagery was great, it was easy to visualize the scene being discussed. Characters were believable and the story intriguing. Great job with lots of potential.
