I like this poem a lot. If a shepherd is tending a flock of sheep, he must have some border collies to help him bring the sheep home. Good luck in the contest.

The poem fits the criteria for the contest prompt. The shepherd loves his sheep and even knows them all by name. Just like the shepherd, Jesus would go to the ends of the earth to keep us (his lambs) safe and happy. Good luck with the contest.

I enjoyed your read ..it reminded me of our farmers who take the cows to forage from 1000 to 2.000/2.500 metres between the end of June to late Sept.
It's tough work for the men but a healthy change for the cows.
The milk produced up there is considered better, hence the cheese produced on site everyday , is highly sought after.

Cows give us milk from which we produce, cheese, butter and other important products .
Chickens idem eggs, meat
All farm animal should be cared for and respected and not just exploited.
