Jim is such an interesting man and accomplished much with his life. I admire his faith, service in WWII and work ethic. Excellent writing here that inspires the reader with this man's story.

This is an inspiring and well-orgnanized biography of Jim and his talks with God. I love that he bargained with God and was able to have his pain cease and he was able to walk again and for forty years he walked. I love how he became successful at his chosen career and was chosen to direct the random acts of kindness celebration. Well written and enjoyable to read this inspirational story made me think of my own life and how I ask God for things and I need to ask myself when will I be satisfied with what God gives me?
It is too bad Jim had to die so young but he accomplished many things and made many friends during his lifetime.
Thanks for this enjoyable read! May we all do random acts of kindness!
Jesse

Jim's life was indeed hard. How brave and strong he was to keep fighting and never give up. I'm glad that you have written this tribute to Jim. More people now know about this good man.

This is a really well done memory of Jim's life. The reader is easily able to become attached to the man as you shared pertinent details of his life that caused emotion and tugged on the heartstrings.
Based on what you wrote, I can understand why you were proud to know the man and why his funeral was attended by so many people.
I loved your finishing lines and how it tied the memoir together.
Very well done! Thank you for sharing!

"A Most Interesting Man" is a most interesting story because of how succinct and well written it is. It moves quickly with the fewest number of words used to make a complete point. True, James C. McCormick was a hero, but your tribute to him is outstanding. Thank you for sharing.

Jim sounds like quite a guy. I've heard from a couple of post-polio patients about their experiences in the iron lung. It was a lot to overcome. Fortunately, when I started working they were a thing of the past. Still, he was fortunate to have so much love and respect in his life.

It sounds like Jim was a remarkable man and during the hard points in his life he did not give in to despair. His faith in God, and perhaps a miracle or two helped him overcome and live more than a full life.

A heart warming story.

This is an interesting story, with a clever ending which you set up well. It reads a little bit like a fable, with the repetition.

Just a couple edits:

After the war, he was consumed by two important things. <= this should be a colon, to prevent the preceding sentence from being a fragment. =>
His love for a girl named Barbara and getting an education.

It took him twenty-three months, he had earned two degrees. <= you can probably already see the problem. You could say: "It took him twenty-three months to earn two degrees" or "in twenty-three months, he had earned two degrees".

Thanks for the read! Best,
