Yes, well, you do get verbose. And we do tend to get away with it most of the time. I shall be the one riding the black horse for this poem. This time!
I did like your haiku of Colombo as well.

You kind of ended your poem on a sour note. I would have thought a poem about silver linings would end on a positive. Good luck in the contest. Stay safe and stay healthy.

thanks but there is a choice given eternal life with God or life eternal without. I thought of reversing the two and then thought the positive is there too.

Love your spiritual poem, mystery poet. According to the Bible, we will real what we have sown unless we take on the forgiveness of Christ, and believe and receive the gift of salvation. Only then is our name written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Our future relies on our decision to do this, as Jesus has done everything to save us. All we need is found in Him, in this world and the one to come.

Sending you my best today as always, and my very best wishes for the upcoming contest,
Sal :))

This is an excellent Silver Lining writing prompt entry. Whenever I read something glorifying God, it always touched me. The mention of death and eternal life either in heaven or hell make me think which place I would go to one day. I pray to God it will be in heaven. Blessings, Ver

Well the contest asks for a poem of any type, and I think this would a form of free verse poetry. It does have silver lining, so I think you are okay there too. I wish you luck in the voting.
