I love the words and the pictures. This is a very good short story. It is very well told and, considering it is small, very entertaining. Congratulations on a well deserved win and thank you for sharing. Take care.

There were a lot of rules and restrictions for this 42 word Spiritual Fiction contest, but you used all of the required words and met the challenge well. The most inspiring line in the story, "The faithful were freed from their hell into the rebirth of a new nation." Excellent! Best wishes in the contest.

Thanks so much, Lorraine. i think I've had enough of trying to cram a story into a mouthful of words for a while. But it was fun and I am glad that people enjoyed it.

Writing a complete story in just 42 words is a challenge. You were able to write a beginning, middle and end that made sense. Very nice job. Good luck in the contest.

I like the 42-word story you entered in this contest. I see the word rebirth is one of the words that you must use in your story. Many others used rebirth as basic reincarnation. I don't believe in reincarnation so I was glad to see how you used the word in your story as the people set free for the rebirth of a nation. Great job!!

This prompt seems pretty restrictive, but you've told a story with a beginning, middle, and end in 42 words and 6 sentences. Good job! Best wishes in the contest. Blessings. Carol

These shorts are restrictive and actually not a lot of fun... You know me, I need to write and write! LOL

Sometimes the short writings are good because they force us to keep the writing tight, but that's not always easy to do. You did well with this.

Sister, you may have a winner here. Substantive, on pointe. Feeds the flow from beginning to end. Good luck. Let's see what happens; better yet have
faith.

Thanks Tom. I appreciate your kind words and thoughts and that you suspect it might be a winner. That's why I am confused by the 4 which means it needs work. Would you mind helping me out and letting me know where you think it is lacking? I appreciate it!
Always, Carol

A four for me is an A-. I don't do so with any disrespect but I find short poetry challenges difficult to write and most of those I read, don't read smoothly either. We are subjugated by verbal handcuffs.

Interesting fictional tale. This contest have many restrictions but out of all I've read yours does the best job in creating a coherent story with the required spiritual these and the required conditions. You get my vote.

thanks so much... The restrictions have been getting tougher and tougher and the contests aren't fun that way. But I gave it a shot and I thank you for your vote.

I love this poem because it is a poem with a spiritual connotation. I think the poet did a great job. He talks about forgiveness, prayer, God's people being freed, a rebirth, Angels' singing, and God welcoming his flock home. I think to a child of God all of this is beautiful and are beautiful words to behold. I love a poem with a spiritual connotation behind it. What I loved most about this poem is that God welcomed 'His' children home.

These little things are hard to jam into a few words, but right now I am running neck and neck in a few. But it also takes friends. Oh well, I shall be content and move forward. LOL
Love ya, C
