I am in the "old people love" stage. It is sweet, comfortable and just right. I was told once I was like a pair of favorite slippers. Comfortable. Yikes, that sounded awful when I was young. Now it seems just right. Esther

I wrote this for my great granddaughters when they were staying with me. Thank you for brushing off the cobwebs and reading my shorts. I appreciate it.

I thought this was a very sweet story. The relationship comes through, not just between the grandmother and her grandchildren but between the grandmother and her beloved spouse very, very nicely. It was endearing that she waited to be with him as he waited for her in the story but in a sweet and charming way rather than a morbid, sad way. Her remembrances and the children contrasted very nicely with her waiting and her spouse's death bringing opposing themes to the forefront of the tale. Nicely done and congratulations.

I suppose this particular story is far closer to being the truth than fiction. It's so much of my life written in each word and the emotions I share with my grandbabies. I am thrilled you enjoyed it. Thank you!

Finally got a six from me. Loved your story. If my true love hadn't happened along I wouldn't know what love was suppose to be. I surely married up even though she was a sharecropper's daughter.

A very nice story for this contest, good luck. Even though this is a love story about the magic of love, I did like how Nana spooked the kids. That was very visual and fun. The magic in Nana's heart was beautiful. Good work.
